This morning as the second week of school, and a hour before classes start. A portal opened to another earth realm, and through that door came a black fox dressed in a Kimono. Soon after he had stepped through the doorway, it closed behind him. He turns when it closes and curses in his native tongue know that he is stuck in the human earth realm. Then he sighs deeply as he takes a breath closing his eyes as he changes form turning into a human.
He looked young enough to go to school when he changed his form to human. He most likely didn’t look that much older than about 17, maybe 18 at most. Then again, he also looks like he is old enough to be a teacher at the same time. He looks a little odd though in at Sunnydale roaming around the school grounds in a blue kimono with silver oriental foxes within the design all over it. However, when he first appeared her in his normal fox form, he did have to katanas strapped to his hip. Now that is just another shape shifter trick of his, he was able to make them into a layer of the belt that goes around his waist.
It’s a bit hard, but he tries his best not to look to odd in the human realm, expect for the fact of his kimono that he wears. Along with the fact that it seems that, he is admiring the high school sign in front of the brand new school building. After he finishes his admiring, he walks to a tree not too far from the entrance; he sits down and leans back against the tree. As he crosses, his arms over his chest while closing his eyes slowly dozing off under the nice cool shade of the tree. Even though in about five to ten minutes faculty workers, teachers, and students should be coming to start school on this Tuesday morning.

Sighing and thinking about starting school again after a long summer break was torture for a girl like Dawn Summers. True, her summer HAD been hellish. When was it not? She had a slayer for a sister and no real friends her age to hang out with, much less understand her.
She knew her sister tried...and Dawn loved her for that. But just once she would love to have someone her own age to hang out with, go shopping with, confide in...not some people that were older than her by a few years. True, she loved them as a second family, but sometimes it was so hard.
Shouldering her backpack as she left the house, she listened to Willow approach the door and turned around. "What?"
Furrowing her eyebrows at Dawn's attitude, Willow sighed. The young Wiccan knew it was hard for the teenager to live with a whole crew of Scoobies, considering all the danger Dawn was frequently put in. But Willow did care about Dawn much like a little sister.
Sighing and handing her the cell phone in her hand, Willow looked away "I...um...that is, Buffy and I thought you would like a new cell phone since your old one got kind of...destroyed the other night." Looking at Dawn, Willow sighed and crossed her arms over her chest suddenly going into parental mode "By the way...did you eat any..."
Sighing in exasperation, Dawn threw up her hands "Breakfast?! Of course Willow...you know I do every morning..." Looking at the cell phone in Willow's hand, Dawn sighed again, feeling guilty "Sorry...I didn't mean to snap at you...and thanks Will...you're the best..." Hugging her, Dawn felt her anger slip away then pulled away from Willow "I really appreciate it..."
Smiling and hugging Dawn back, Willow nodded "Ok Dawnie...I know it's hard on you...being related to the 'Scooby Gang' and having a slayer for a sister...what say that tonight we put that all away and just do something fun..just the two of us?"
Smiling at Willow, Dawn raised an eyebrow "Really? That would be awesome..." Hearing her watch beep, Dawn slapped her forehead "Great...gonna be late for the first day...I gotta go...see ya later Will!!"
Hurrying down the sidewalk toward the direction of school, Dawn went the the apps on her phone and smiled. It looked like Willow and Buffy went out of their way to get her one of the 'good' phones that she had been wanting. She appreciated them...she really did...but sometimes she wished that they would back off and let her grow up.
Stopping outside the school and looking at the new sign, Dawn looked at the high school and swallowed. She remembered how her sister had told her the old one was built over the Hellmouth...the exact same spot where the new school was.
Shaking those thoughts out of her head, she stopped as she saw someone sitting outside under a tree. Someone in a...kimono? How odd...but then again, oddness was the new realness in a town like Sunnydale. Thinking that he was some new exchange student, Dawn sighed thinking that he was also lost.
Walking to the tree, she smiled and spoke up "Um...hi...you must be new...I'm Dawn...Dawn Summers..."

He nearly shifted back to his normal form when this girl surprised him, when she came up and spoke to him. However, he kept his calm and slowly opened his eyes and looked up at her with his brilliant icy blue eyes. When he looks up he gives her a soft smile at her, before he speaks in a deep Japanese accent. “Hello Miss, I am Kage Youkai.”
He stands up and dusts off his Kimono then takes a bow before her in greeting instead of holding out his hand to offer a handshake. He smiles softly, “so school is starting? Would you mind showing me to the office Miss. Summers?” He smiles again and lets her take lead so he can see more of the school.
He seems completely normal or as normal as humans can get in this town. When he stands up he is just a little over six feet tall as he stands before her and waits for her to lead the way or say anything else to him.

Smiling, Dawn nodded "Yep, school is starting...otherwise knowns as prison to most us kids..." Grinning, she walked toward the building "Sure I can show you where the office is, no problem." Looking back at Kage, she smiled again curiously at him "So...you must be one of the new exchange students I'm guessing? Well, welcome."
Showing him the inside of the school, she showed him where the library, gym and cafeteria are "Those are mainly the hot spots...um...I mean...the areas where students like to meet up."
Finally showing him where the office is, she smiled and motioned toward it "And here's the office." Looking back at him, she heard the bell then sighed "I guess that's my cue...but...I think I can take you in to meet the principal and councellor first." Pushing up the door, she smiled and waved to the principal "Hey Mr. Wood! This is Kage Youkai...he's new here this semester and I'd thought I would show him around."

(I know Robin Wood not listed on the Buffy character list, along with him not being a taken character so I just did what any Principle would do if they where a normal one or acting like a normal one, lol.)
Smiles as Dawn toke him all over the school and showed him around until she toke him over to the office to talk to Mr. Wood. He bows his head and smiles at then Mr. Wood sent Dawn to wait while he takes Kage and does some needed paper work for him to be a student here. It takes them about fifteen minutes or so. When they finish, Robin walks up to Dawn and hands her a free pass. “Dawn show our new student to all his assigned classes and get the paper slip filled out with all his teachers names to acknowledge that he is new and a exchange student here. Then head to your first class together after returning this slip back to me.” Then he sends them off to do what they needed to do.
Kage smiles at Dawn and bows his head to her again as he waits for her to take him to his listed classes. To her surprise they are almost all the same classes as hers, expect he was in a more advance history class then she was or a new one that was recently added to the school. “So which class are we heading to first, Dawn?” He asked softly and smiles at her as she would be leading the way again.

Blinking and listening to Mr. Wood, Dawn smiled taking the paper slip "Yes sir...I already gave him a small tour...but he didn't see everything around here..."
Looking at Kage, Dawn smiled again and motioned to him over her shoulder "Come on, I'll..." Looking over the list, she widened her eyes "Wow...that's...interesting...you have all the same classes as me...at the same time...well except for the history class." Looking up at him, she heard him ask her what class they're going to and grinned "I believe that would be art...trust me, you'll love it!"
Walking with him down the hall, she studied the list and shrugged then pushed open the door to the art class. Walking to the teacher, she introduced Kage to her and got her to fill out the paper then told her that they would be back after getting the other teachers to fill out the paperwork. Showing him where the other classes were and getting the paper back to Mr. Wood, Dawn smiled walking with Kage back down the hall toward art "Like I said, you'll love art...it's actually fun and the art teacher actually lets us do what we want to do instead of having a planned lesson for us."

He smiles at Dawn while they ran around the school, just to get the paper work done. Before they had to head back to the office and give the paper to Mr. Wood. Then he follows her to the art class. “Well that sounds fun, it be fun to paint some again.” As he said and then smiles at Dawn. Since it is as Dawn said it was, he goes and grabs an empty easel, canvas, and water color paints.
He starts to paint with bright almost neon like colors first, to do a brightly colored sunrise. Then starts to add land with its neutral hues of browns, with different shades of green. On the right side, practical mountain range with a dragon sitting near the top. Lastly in the opening in the middle of what looked like a forest, are two little foxes that seem to be playing a game. One fox is black and the other is silver. He done the whole painting in half of the class time, and once he finished with the watercolors down at the left hand side. He signed his name in Japanese lettering with a little fox paw print painted to the right of the lettering.

Blinking and listening to Kage, Dawn smiled again then nodded "Yes, it is actually fun...sometimes I wish it were the only class we had...but then we would probably be bored with it in a short amount of time. After taking the paperwork back to the office, Dawn watched Robin Wood going over the paperwork then dismissed them saying that it all looked in order.
Taking Kage back to class, Dawn showed him a seat near her before they went up and got their easels and paintbrushes. Dipping her paintbrush into some paint, Dawn got lost in her painting for the duration of the class. Hearing the bell ring, she snapped out of her reverie and stepped back from the painting. Furrowing her eyebrows and noticing it was a picture of her sister jumping into the circle of light with Dawn on the podium she was chained to, Dawn widened her eyes and quickly tried to cover it.
Looking at Kage's painting, she tried to hide her distress as she forced a smile to her lips "That looks awesome Kage..."

He had been watching her paint when he finished his painting and blinked with she tried to hide it. However, smiles softly at her when she complemented his painting.
“Thank you, it been a long time since I made this painting. Though you have a very interesting painting yourself.” He looked down out her with a concerning look, but decides to leave it be. He figured there was a reason for the painting to be like that and her not wanting anyone to see it.
“Well, what is our next class Dawn?” He smiles again trying now to scare her away when he gave her a concerned look. He takes his painting off the easel and putting where the teacher wanted it so it can be graded. Then he waits for Dawn to lead the way.

Blinking and seeing the concerned look on his face, Dawn looks at the painting then shakes her head forcing a smile to her face "I don't even know why I painted this...I kinda spaced out and it happens...but thanks for the compliment..."
Looking down at her schedule after putting the painting in the place the teacher would grade it, Dawn furrowed her eyebrows then sighed "History class...I don't even know why I have to take it...I already know History like the back of my hand..." Thinking about all the knowledge the monks put into her while creating her, she sighed then shrugged "We better get going..."
Walking out of the art class, she lead the way to History then looked around and furrowed her eyebrows not seeing the teacher there yet "Odd...he's usually here before the students get here...wonder where he is."

Nods some and scratches his head. “Hmmm… I see, I’ll be back, I’ll go talk to Mr. Wood about this, and maybe I can step in since I am in an advance class.” He starts to walk off, then stops and looks at her. “Where was it you left off at?” He smiles at her as he waits for her reply.
Once he had received the answer, he turns to leave again. As he walks off his kimono top sways a bit at his back, or so it seemed like it was longer in the back for some reason. The way it moved it looked like there was a tail behind him. It honestly doesn’t take him long to track down Mr. Wood and have a quick chat with him about the situation.

Blinking and looking at kage as he said that he could step in since he was in an advanced class, Dawn furrowed her eyebrows. Would they actually let a student step in for a teacher? It happened once before with Willow stepping in with Ms. Calendar...at least that's what she heard.
Shrugging, she watched Kage leave and furrow her eyebrows as she watched his kimono top sway a bit at his back...almost like there was a...tail...there. No, it couldn't be. Shrugging, she sat in her seat and waited to see what would happen.

Then he returns to the classroom with the teacher’s edition of the book and walks up the teacher’s desk.
“Hello there everyone, I’m going to temporarily take over your professor’s place until the find him or his replacement.” He smiles as she walks up to the board and uses the chalk or dry erase pen to write his name. “I am Mr. Youkai, and as I said I’ll be taking over until your professor is back.”
At least that is the case for now, even though he did hear a bit of bitter news that the professor seemed to be missing. Nothing at his apartment was missing, broken into, or anything like that, it just seem that he and his bed disappeared. From the sounds of the date of the disappearance was the same time Kage came to this place.
When he finished with the board, he turns to head to the door and closes it so no one can sneak off before he turns to face the class. “Okay then, who can tell me where you left off?” He smiles at them kindly as he moves back to the teacher’s desk and sets on the desk. While he waits for anyone to tell him where they all left off. “Or just for today we can trail off and take about things older then what is in your text books.”

Blinking and looking up, seeing Kage enter the room again, this time with a teacher's edition of the book, Dawn furrowied her eyebrows...what was going on here?
Watching him walk to the board, she watched him write his name across the board, calling himself Mr. Youkai. Okay, this was definitely going to be odd. First she knew him as a student...now he was her teacher? Shrugging, she looked to him then looked at her other classmates before taking the initiative "What do you have planned to tell us about?"

He sits on the desk and looks at the students. Then he looked to Dawn when she asked him what he was planning to teach them. “Well that I am leaving up to the class for today considering that I don’t know where your teacher originally left off at. Therefore, if you and the others don’t want to work on that today, but since this is a history class. I can teach you something that you all are more interested in with a section of history.”
Crosses his arms over his chest while he looks over the classroom some. “I could also teach you a different type of history that doesn’t protean to all the wars and such that had had happen in this world. I could go back to what was believed to be more of peaceful times, as well as history on mythical creatures just for the fun of it.” When he mentioned mythical creatures his bright blues head back to Dawn.
