I'm not really in the mood for Sushi.. Do you think that she'll still go out with me once she finds out that I am a virgin? Woah, 1990's man. You are not in Vogue. Check the outfit.. These were just some of the thoughts that streamed into her conscious as she walked the streets of Sunnydale. Lately, she hadn't been tuning them out. She felt safer with the thoughts of others popping around in her brain. It sounded crazy, but it kind of grounded her. And well, it also kept her aware if any danger was pointed in her particular direction. Being human and on a hellmouth had its definite disadvantages.
Tonight however she wanted a little more quiet. She had pulled on her moccasin boots, a medium length high-waisted blue skirt, and tucked a splatter painted black camisole that was mostly covered in red, blue, orange, and yellow into the skirt and headed toward the graveyard. It was Sunnydale, sure there was risk in going to the graveyard at night alone, but Maze wasn't going to let that stop her. She could take on a vamp, maybe, well no probably not. But, she could run and throw objects. Probably play some mind jumbly pinyata games as well. She was helpless, but not completely. She needed a little bit of effortless quiet to be able to just enjoy life and think about things.
Entering the gates of the graveyard, one of Sunnydale's many, she sighed. Quiet. Walking up the winding path towards the graves and mausoleums she found a nice medium sized tree to sit beneath. Sitting down, she smoothed out her skirt and stretched out her legs crossing them left over right. She was alone, in the dark, in Sunnydale. Maybe it was too quiet...

Alaki Carolina Istvosqi sipped the mug containing her dinner of pig blood with ritz crumbs as she sat perched in the tree next to her crypt. The brunnette really wasn't paying attention to her surroundings till she heard with her super hearing a soft thud just below her. A glance down told her that a dark figure had decided to sit below among the roots of her tree. Alaki felt the sudden strong impulse to feed, like a rush of endorphines, and knew that whoever it was must be human. Only the nearness of people could cause her to feel this rush.
Sighing Alaki jumped from her tree and landed in front of the startled girl. She looked down at her with a raised eyebrow. The stranger was cute, definitely a good target. Too bad Alaki had given up human blood a year a go or else this girl would make the perfect meal. "Don't you know there is danger abound, little girl?"

A few moments after she had settled beneath the tree the silence that had engulfed her was broken. She jumped slightly startled as suddenly right in front of her was a vampire. Why do I always do this to myself? I always just walk straight into trouble.
She was certainly intimidated by the vampire standing before her, but the mug she was holding in her hand was an instant indicator that she possessed human qualities. And maybe if she was lucky she could talk her way out of this without having to use her abilities .
"Yeah, but I figure that danger is out there in the more lively populated areas of town. Not the place where all the bodies go." She said standing up slowly and cautiously.

Alaki smiled down at the youngster. She really was very pretty...and smelled delicious. Damn this 'vegetarian' thing. Alaki grinned toothily when the girl stood up and explained the reason she was out here by herself in the dead of the night. It was a very funny reason that made Alaki snort with barely contained laughter. "Don't you know where danger lives?" she asked her. "In the cemetaries; it's where danger rises in the beginning of the night, when it's at its hungriest and most deadly. Cemetaries are also great places to find victims because then no one can hear you scream." As she spoke her last sentence Alaki's demon surfaced and her lips curled up in a snarl as the Vampire's game face appeared in full force. Although Alaki had no plans to actually eat the teen she did hope to have a little fun by scaring the poor girl.

As she stood up she kept her eyes on the vampire. She was young, pretty, and probably easily got her way. The prettier ones always did. "Good point." She said, her arms tense at her sides. At any moment this could turn a corner into highly dangerous. Maze wasn't too keen on letting that happen. Then the young woman before her sported that devilish game face they all had been given. This was when high tailing it would be of benefit, but there needed to be some sort of distraction. Which in a dead quiet graveyard was going to be hard to come by.
What is going on in your head? She thought to herself about Alaki. Maze could hear humans, most demons, and in fact vampires at times. The humans always rang through crystal clear, most demons as well, but vampires... Vampires were on a lower frequency and some of the things they thought she could process but not always. If she was lucky she'd be able to catch a few words of a thought and turn this game into one of confusion for the vampire.
"I like your mug." She said keeping a straight face. Even though it was a device to get the vampire to think and react she also did genuinely think it was a nice mug.

Alaki raised an eyebrow. This girl had to be insane. She was facing off against a vampire who had her full game face and all she could think of to say was "I like your mug" ?
"What the hell?" Alaki said, her face going back to normal. "What's your deal girl? Why aren't you scared?" OOC: sorry for taking so long and not having a good reply

She struggled to listen, trying to see if she could pick up Alaki's thoughts. But it seemed that they were too low, or perhaps she needed to be around her more to pick up on them. Damnit!
When her face morphed back to normal Maze relaxed a little more. "I am not totally comfortable around you, but I know what lurks in cemeteries. I've been here hundreds of times. Nothing has happened to me." She said softly, her eyes meeting Alaki's.
"Plus, you're holding a mug. Not exactly screaming "I drink people's blood" at the moment. In fact that looks kind of pigish to me..." She said shrugging.
Running a hand idly through her brown tresses out of a nervous habit. She knew this vampire thought she was coo coo for cocoa puffs, but it was better than admitting what she was capable of. That admittance would depend on if she could trust the vampire, which at the moment it was touch and go since she barely knew her and then of course because most vampires are all evil... Minor details.
ooc: It's all good.))

Alaki felt a tickling sensation in her head. She frowned, trying to concentrate on the feeling. Briefly she blocked the rest of her senses and focused solely on whomever it was attempting to read her mind. Unfortunately the sensation was gone before she got a good fix on the person’s mind. She sighed, irritated that someone thought they could get inside her head but pleased that they obviously hadn’t been able to manage it. Alaki started to listen to the stranger girl again just in time to hear her comment for the second time on her mug. “What’s wrong with my mug?” she asked defensively, looking down at her favorite sunshine yellow mug with her name written in blue cursive on the side. "Nothing's wrong with it. It's pretty. What I was trying to say was that it looks like you are drinking pigs blood, so you don't seem like the human eating type." She said, her hand dropping from her hair to rest on her stomach and the other arms fingers idly grasping at the wrist.
"I could be totally wrong though; which in that case I would probably be running." She said watching the vampire, her eyes locked on Alaki's. Maze didn't try to listen in again, she liked that Alaki's thoughts weren't easy to access. It made things quieter. It left her in the dark though about whether or not she was about to be made a meal. However, if the vampire was going to kill her she'd have already been dead by now. This thought caused her body to relax a bit more.
"So, do you usually sit in trees and drink blood?"

He was sitting up on top of a columbarium (A building that normally houses urns of the dead), as he had sat up there on the top he looked liked a gargoyle. He stayed still and watched as the human walked into the graveyard, he smelt a vampire near. However, he didn’t know how close she was until she had jumped out of the tree in front of the human. He stayed on the columbarium a bit longer, until it looked like things are about to change, though the scent of the warm pigs blood didn’t escape his nose.
In his stealth he slide off top of the building and down behind it, so that, he could change into human form. This way he wouldn’t scare to human or vampire off. He wasn’t going to do anything to either of them unless it was necessary to do so. Once he was in his human form, he moves around the graveyard so that he could end up behind Maze. It wasn’t a big circle he needed to make to move around them. He just stayed behind the few tightly knitted buildings and he was close enough to move around behind the tree and Maze.
Once he was where he wanted to be, he steps around the tree in Alaki’s view if she was looking toward him. He haves his thoughts blocked cannot be too careful around humans, demons, or vampires, any one of them could read your mind. He learned early on to keep walls up in his mind and thoughts away from others. If he didn’t at this moment Maze’s mind might be hit with his questioning about what is going on here. “Hello ladies, what brings you here tonight?” He asks in his deep Scottish accent.
When he had gotten their attention, he could be easily mistaken for a vampire because of his paleness, but he didn’t think about that. He just wanted to make sure that the human was safe and not in danger. He is also in his biker look, with the tight jeans, leather chaps, a black muscle shirt, a leather vest instead of a coat cause of the heat in Sunnydale, well it seemed hotter to him then it may the two girls. Lastly, there is his two golden bands, the one on his left shoulder, and the bracelet on his right wrist. He looked no older than his early twenties, even with his bluish color shoulder length hair. He looks between the two girls with his unusual green and purple eyes, hoping he didn’t scare them to much when he came out from behind the tree.

Alaki had endured three hundred-odd years of teasing from her coven so she instinctively went on the offensive when the girl mentioned her mug. When she heard the girl's hasty explanation, however, Alaki felt her proverbial hackles go down. Now she smiled at the other girl. "Sometimes," she said in answer to her question. "Mostly I watch TV in my cryp," Alaki motioned toward the marble mosoleum not ten feet away. "You know, it's not exactly fair that you know my name but I don't know your's." Alaki smiled at her, cobalt blue eyes sparkling.
Suddenly a figure stepped out from behind the tree the two women were standing under. It was a man; pale-as-death skin, shoulder-length platinum hair, tall. If Alaki didn't know better she would have sworn this guy just time-traveled from medieval days.
“Hello ladies, what brings you here tonight?” He asked in a deep Scottish accent.
Hastily Alaki grabbed her companion's forearm and dragged her away from this new stranger. "Back off," she hissed going into game face again for the second time in less than fifteen minutes. "She's with me; off-limits. Find your meal elsewhere."

She smiled at the vampire when she let her guard down. It seemed they'd get along quite well. When Alaki mentioned that she did not know Maze's name she responded, "That's true. I'm Maze." She extended a hand, then heard a voice behind her and all of the sudden she was standing behind the vampire.
There in front of them was an attractive man whom was most likely a vampire or some sort of supernatural being. Her eyes narrowed slightly, his thoughts were there, she could almost grasp them, but he was veiling them thinly. He was smart for doing it. She folded her arms waiting. She was of no use to Alaki. She could probably throw some sort of object, but her telekinesis was not as formed as her telepathy was so trying would only give away that there was something off about her. She didn't want to showcase any abilities. She was human and she didn't want to end up dead or some sort of work force to do evil's bidding.

He bursts out in laughter at the two and then crosses his arms while he looks at them both. While Maze tried to get into his mind, another wall falls between her temps, an icy type of wall that would normally send a chill down a telepaths body from the inside out.
He clicks his tongue and wiggles his finger at Maze as if she was a bad little girl, then his unusual eyes looked over at Alaki. Then he chuckles softly as she either trying to dare him to take maze from her, or actually going to try to take human bloody again.
“Now, now ladies, calm down. First of all, I don’t drink from humans, heck I don’t do anything to humans unless they threaten me first. My tastes for food, is actual animal, like deer, rabbit, and such. So don’t go and accusing me being like your kind.” He points at Alaki. “I am no vampire, though I do get that assumption a lot, and besides, what you have in that nice mug of yours, distinctly smells of swine.”
His gaze moves back to Maze. “Ms. Maze, for the most part, I didn’t mean to startle you so much, as I was only concern about your safety around this strange vampire. I never have seen one, taken to not wanting human blood. Though I have seen many take that ploy as to trick humans to make them think that and then do many horrid things to them afterwards.” He turns so his right side faces the two girls as he looks up at the moon in the sky. He doesn’t turn back nor moves his head, but he looks out at the corner of his bright green right eye at them. Then he flicks one of his shed scales off his shoulder toward the two girls. The scale was a very light blue almost white in color and about the size of a quarter. That had landed a few inches from them on the ground. “Again sorry for scaring you two younglings.”

Alaki did not like this new…whatever he was’s tone. Her game face did not slip as he talked and she pulled her lips back in a snarl when he made the comment about “her kind”. Nor did she appreciate the insinuation that she was just tricking Maze into believing that she was her friend/not bloodthirsty.
Alaki propped her hand on her hip and glared at the man. “Listen pal,” she said with a sneer. “I don’t know who you are and honestly I’m not sure if I care to know, but you seriously need to back off of the vamp-bashing. If you don’t I might just make an exception to my current no non-animal diet. And I’m not young, I’m over four hundred years old,” she added as an afterthought, completely ignoring the shiny bit of something the stranger had just flicked off his shoulder at her feet

Maze was not impressed. When he waggled a finger at her and began making comments at Alaki she'd become aggravated. They had been starting to form a generally nice conversation and he'd come in riding on his high horse.
She stayed behind her new friend. Listening as she shot comments right back. "You didn't startle me and thanks, but I think I'm in safe hands." Maze wanted to make it clear that his words had no affect on what she thought of Alaki.
