Willow walked into the good old Sunnydale library and breathed a contented sigh, she was quite happy here on her own, books provided a good distraction from everything else in her life. Usually. Today though she had to do some research for Giles, grumbling a little she went and picked up one of the very old, very dusty and very heavy books. "Why can't spell books be clean and paperbacks occasionally?" She found herself saying out loud, she was so used to be around other people in here she'd forgot she was actually alone for a moment. shaking her head and laughing a little she turned over a few pages, she'd skimmed most of these books before and vaguely knew whereabouts things were. She stopped on a page that said something about a world called Pylea, "That's new to me." She said out loud again, she'd heard of a few worlds but Pylea certainly wasn't one of them, "I doubt anyone else has heard of it either." She said and laughed a little again, There's no one else here! She thought and shook her head, she knew she should have been looking for the demons Giles' wanted but there was no rush, everyone else was already off doing something else. Willow came to a section called "Entering Pylea" it was blank except for five words. "You have to want it "Well that's pointless I want to see what it's like." She said out loud and was about to flip the page when the book started shaking and glowing, "Uh-oh." Said Willow jumping back from the table, the book began to hover in mid-air, the pages staying wide open on the page Willow had chosen. Willow stared dumbstruck until a bright flash caused her to close her eyes and shield her face with her arms, then it happened. She could feel herself flying in mid air, toward the table! Opening her eyes she saw the floor about ten feet away from her, and that she was horizontal, she desperately clawed the air trying to get back down to the floor but she was just being sucked into the book. "HELP!" She shouted as her legs disappeared into the pages, "Buffy........" Her last cry of help was lost as she was sucked into it fully. It closed with thump and landed with a loud BANG on the table, the library became quiet once more.

Buffy wandered into the library, looking down at a book Giles had given her a while ago. She knew Giles wasn't in the library today and she hoped she could sneak it back. Smiling with her idea, she mentally congratulated herself. He'd never know she'd even returned it probably.
When she'd walked about half way in, she heard Willow's cry of help. Her head snapped up to see what was happening when she caught a glance of a book with... legs sticking out? Those shoes looked too familiar for her liking. "Willow!" Buffy dropped the book and lunged to grab her legs, but they'd disappeared. She leaned against the table, staring at the book.
What had just happened? And where was Willow?

Xander followed Buffy to the library, he thought he would give her company after all, it was Saturday and he had nothing better to do.
He hadn't heard Willow's cry for help, when he walked in, he saw a book will Willow's leg sticking out of it. "Holy Crap!" Xander swore, as he witnessed Willow being fully engulfed by the book.
Once she was gone, he stood staring at the book in disbelief. It landed on the table with a THUD, open to the same page.
He gave Buffy a cautious look, as he crept up to the book not knowing if the same thing would happen to him. Once he was close enough he poked it quickly but retreated his hand just as quick. It didn't do anything, so his alarm dropped.
He skimmed the page. "Pylea?" He asked Buffy, eyes quizzical.
He stared down at the book, worried about his best friend.

Faith crept into the library slowly. She had borrowed a few books without anyone knowing and was going to return them. If anyone found out that she a soft spot for books, she would totally stake herself.
Faith looked around and noticed both Buffy and Xander there.
She immediately threw the books over the counter hoping they hadn't noticed. Faith walked unto them, they seemed a little out of it. Faith stared at the ground where she saw a book laying. She then looked at Buffy and Xander. “Ummm hey” Faith said confused. Was this some strange game they were playing. “What's going on?”

Buffy whipped around, not expecting Xander to be following her. His voice had startled her as she was already shook up from what she'd just witnessed. She watched Xander poke it, then read it and sighed a mental sigh of relief when nothing happened to him.
"Pylea? Is it some other world or something?" Buffy came to Xander's side, looking at the pages of the book too. She then looked up as Faith approached them. "Willow's been sucked into... the book. It doesn't make sense..."
Suddenly she thought of Angel. He knew more about different dimensions and so on more than anyone else she knew. It couldn't hurt to try. Buffy quickly hurried to the phone, knowing Willow had dialed Angel's number in the past. Yep, there it was, sitting by the phone on a small piece of paper.
Buffy dialed the number with shaky fingers and took a deep breath, not even caring that he might not want to hear from her. All she cared about was her best friend was gone! "Come on, Angel, pick up..." She muttered into the phone as it rang.

Xander greeted Faith with a slight, nod. He was too scared about Willow to talk to anyone.
He stared a Buffy confused, when she walked over to the desk and started dialling. "Who you calling?" His voice shook.
His question was answered when she whispered for Angel to pick up. "What makes you think he knows how to help us?" He thought about his own question to himself for a bit. It was simple, Angel did know alot about the supernatural and other dimensions, he could actually be useful.
He sat himself down, sat back and decided this time he was actually going to welcome Angel's arrival. He had to do it, if he wanted Willow back.
He turned to Faith, "you keen on helping us get her back?" He asked her.

Faith nodded back to Xander and then frowned as Buffy told her that Willow had been sucked into the book. ‘How was that possible’, she thought. She was confused. Then again anything was possible in Sunny D. Faith looked at the book. It looked harmless to her.
“Shit so what do we do now?” Faith said, a little worried. She wasn't the biggest Willow fan, but the red head was growing on her.
Faith watched Buffy grab the phone and call Angel. I guess Angel was the best idea right now. He did know more on these things than anyone. Faith nodded her head at Xanders Question. “Yeah Im in” She was sort of looking forward to Angels arrival. She and him had a thing.

Angel came in the door of the Hyperion hotel a bit tired. He'd just had a good fight with a demon that just would not quit...or die for that matter. He was glad to come to a quiet hotel, the gang wasn't there, at least for the time being. He was about to make a b-line up the stairs when the phone started to ring. He paused, one foot on a step, debating if he should take it. If he'd let a customer go to voicemail, he knew he wouldn't hear the end of it from Cordy.
He sighed in disapproval. Okay, I'll pick it up. He resolved. But if it's about some wart infested demon that's come back to life again, I'm hanging up. He back tracked and went over to the desk. He picked up the receiver. "Yeah, it's Angel." He waited to hear who was on the other line and what exactly their problem was.

Buffy threw Xander a quick look when he asked how she thought Angel would help them. Her look was one that clearly stated he was a moron for even asking, for it was obvious. Shaking her head, Buffy turned back to the phone... why was it taking so long? After hearing Faith's agreement to help, Buffy glanced back to Faith.
"Thanks, Faith. We'll need all th..." She was cut off by the sound of Angel. Her heartbeat picked up and for a moment she had the urge to just put the phone back down and forget about it. But no, they needed them. Plus, Buffy wasn't in High School anymore.
"Oh... uh, hi Angel..." Buffy took a breath, horrified she was sounding like a nervous, lovesick teenager after all. "It's Buffy, and I'm not calling for a social chat. We have a bit of a problem here and it involves... well, Willow being sucked into a book to a place called Pylea. Heard of it?"
Once she'd stopped speaking, she waited, twirling the cord of the phone with her finger. Half of her prayed that Angel would help them get Willow back but the other half of her was afraid of seeing him again... But she'd have to put that behind her in order to save her best friend. That's what was important.

Angel froze when he heard the voice on the other line. "Buffy...?" But he stayed silent to hear what she had to say next. It probably wasn't to catch up. Sure enough, he was right...and Buffy made that explicitly clear too. It was something serious.
Then the word 'Pylea' came up. Willow was trapped in Pylea. And Buffy planned to go after her.
"I've heard of it." Angel said. " Demon dimension. Not a place to just walk in unprepared. I'll take care of it. Don't try to go in yourself." He already made up his mind. He would go to Lorne, find a way to open the portal again, and he would find Willow. There was no question. Buffy brought him into this, and now she would have to stay out.
Angel would not let Buffy go into that place, if he could help it. Especially with it being so hard to get out.

Buffy brought the phone away from her ear and looked at it with disbelief, shocked to what Angel had told her. After a moment, she brought it back to her ear and took a breath before speaking.
"If that was your idea of a joke, I'm so not laughing. My friend is in a demon dimension and you expect me to sit around while you get her by yourself? You obviously don't know me at all, Angel." Her tone was firm, not even up for discussing this anymore. "I've got this... I just needed to know what we were dealing with, so thanks." Buffy put the phone down without waiting for his answer, knowing he would not accept that.
She then looked to Xander and Faith. "Okay, we have a demon dimension to raid to get Willow back and I take it the way she went in is the same way we will." Walking slowly to Xander, she took the book out of his hands and gazed at it, uncertainly.

Faith listened to the conversation, at least Buffy’s part of the conversation. By the look of Buffy’s facial expressions, this wasn't good. Faith looked at Xander and then back at Buffy as she put the phone down.
Faith wanted to laugh when Buffy said that they had to go through the book. “How the hell do we do that?” Faith walked over and looked at the book in Buffy’s hand over her shoulder. It had all this weird writing in it, how could you even read it.
“This is so not gona be good, I can tell” Faith mumbled.

"No wait, Buff--" Angel heard the click on the other end and slammed the phone down. "Dammit." He paused, thinking about a next course of action. He knew Buffy, she would be determined to go through whatever it took to get Willow back, even if it killed her. He had to get to her. There was no choice in the matter.
Angel found a pen and left a message for Cordy--reading simply, "At Caritas. Emergency. Angel" He quickly went out of the door into is GTX. Looks like this would be a much longer night than he anticipated. As he drove to the karaoke bar, he didn't even think about the possibilities of not being able to get out of that dimension like he did last time. His only concern was Buffy and Willow.
He finally got to Caritas and stormed in. The place was closed for the night but he was able to find Lorne doing so last clean up tasked. "Lorne," he said, his stride showing he was on a mission, his expression grave.

Lorne was putting up some glasses behind the bar after a good night of excellent singing and lots of drinking demons and vamps. Nothing like crazy L.A. You never know who would come through the...
"Lorne,"
...door. Great. Dark avenger coming in at after hours. Can't be good. He wondered if he should duck for cover now or later. Seemed as if a trail of people-who-wanted-to-destroy-caritas constantly followed behind Angel.
Lorne put on an uneasy smile. "Oh, the bar is closed Angelcakes. But my ears are always open. Wouldn't mind hearing your lovely voice doing Manilow again...no actually I take that back. Wouldn't chance you actually doing it. What can I do you for?"

Angel sighed. "Look..." he paused, leaning against the bar Lorne was behind. "...the Banilow thing? Doesn't leave this bar. And...I need to get to Pylea."
He looked at Lorne, stern, but regrettably. He knew Lorne didn't like the place, and wasn't even willing to go back the first time. But Angel had to get there somehow, and Lorne was his ticket, and his guide in.
