Xander swung his black cape around his shoulders and tied it up. He then placed a broad brim black hat upon his head, and turned to look at himself in the mirror.
"It must be Halloween" Xander sighed, remembering past Halloweens where everything seems to go wrong. This year he was dressed as the one and only Zorro.
"Not so much Antonio Banderas but it will do" he said as he admired his reflection. His eyes scanned down to his neck to the scar Angelus left there. So permanent, never to leave him, always there to remind him of the day he died.
He pulled up his shirt collar to hide the scar. He turned away from the mirror. "Come on guys!" He yelled, "the party at the Bronze starts in 15 minutes!"

Willow came in and looked in the mirror behind Xander. She'd chosen to go as a black cat, fitting and ironic since she was a witch she thought, but she'd also made it a little sexy. She was wearing: She told herself she'd dressed this way to make herself feel good and to get some GUYS attention, but part of her knew that it was incase Tara was there. Her head was still reeling from the other night when she'd first met her and the way her heart had felt. "Looking good Xander." She smiled at him.

Buffy walked down the stairs, adjusting her outfit and accessories. She was dressed in a long, black dress that looked torn and patched, with a wig of wild, black, stringy hair. She'd applied black streaks down her face, to look like running mascara and a dirty, white veil hung down her back.
"Here comes the bride... all back from Hell." Buffy sang as she made her way downstairs. She grinned at Xander and Willow, loving their costumes. "I see you've finally ditched the non-hot ghost stage, Will." She told Willow, still grinning. She was glad Willow was going for a more daring approach this Halloween, and she couldn't help but think it was because of a certain someone that had caused Willow to act funny that day Tara had turned up.
Now she looked to Xander. "Ooh, how did Antonio Banderas know my address?" Buffy asked him cheekily. She couldn't wait until the others turned up. She had a feeling maybe this Halloween would be okay...

Tara hesitated at the door of the Summers' house, hearing through the open window that Willow was already there, as well as Xander and Buffy. Her heartbeat picked up speed a little, wondering what costume Willow would be wearing. She didn't know the redhead that well so she didn't know what kind of costume she would choose. Would it be sexy, strange or just plain ol' spooky? Tara hoped it was the first one.
Tara finally gathered the courage to knock on the wooden door and waited, making sure her fangs were still in place. She'd had trouble thinking up a good, scary costume and then it hit her... what was ALWAYS in Sunnydale and scary? She'd also dressed like she'd lived in the 80's, with flared pants and a bright, hippyish shirt.

Upon hearing the doorbell, Buffy whirled towards the noise, causing her veil to whip Xander. "Oh, sorry about that... this thing seems to have a mind of it's own." She moved it back to place, then went to answer the door. Opening it wide, she saw it was Tara, who she'd invited to join them.
"Hey! You're lucky I'm not the Slayer tonight, or you'd be dust." Buffy smiled at Tara, not surprised that someone would dress as a vampire, since it seemed to be the hit in this town. "Xander and Willow are here, and we're still waiting for some more people before we hit the Bronze. Make yourself at home." Buffy moved away from the door and moved to the couch, sitting down carefully so she wouldn't be sitting on her veil.
"I have a good feeling about tonight, guys." She looked to Tara after saying that, realising the new girl wouldn't know what she was referring to. "Sunnydale has had the tendency to turn all Halloween's into true nightmares... you know, living your costume, being trapped in a spooky house... all that fun stuff."

Tara jumped a little when Buffy suddenly appeared at the door, throwing the it open to reveal the inside of her house. She smiled shyly at Buffy's joke, glad Buffy seemed to like her choice of costume.
"I...I knew being a vampire would be acceptable. I like your costume, it's v... very spooky." Tara told Buffy, then walked in once Buffy moved. She glanced around and saw Xander and Willow. Her eyes visibly widened at the sight of Willow as a sexyish, black cat. "You both look... nice." After she said that, Tara looked to the ground in embarrassment, not able to truly express what she really felt about Willow's outfit... truthfully it looked damn good on the redhead.
Her head snapped back up and moved to look at Buffy, her mouth open in shock a little. "T... turn into costume and trapped in a house? Doesn't sound like much fun to me." She glanced at the other two, wondering what they thought about that. And did what Buffy said happen to them?

Grinning Dawn walked down the stairs dressed as what appeared to be Princess Jasmine from the movie Aladdin then rolled her eyes hearing Buffy "Oh come on Buffy...how often does that happen? Like once in a blue moon?" Seeing how the others were dressed, she looked down at her outfit. "Suddenly I feel like a nerd..." Sighing, she shook her head then tried to make the best of it "Ah well...so are we all hitting the Bronze tonight?" Grinning, she looked at her sister thinking her sister would allow her to go to the Bronze with them. www.mrcostumes.com/Princess-Costume-C34/Princess-Jasmine-Prestige-Adult-Costume-P1266C34.aspx#

Willows cheeks flushed red when Tara walked in the foor, she suddenly felt stupid, Tara was wearing a normal halloween costume while she was dressed like some sort of teenage girl wanting to pull! "H...Hi Tara.....You look c..cool." she flustered, all of her confidence she'd had when putting the costume on disappearing in an instant. Her eyes dropped to the floor but kept flicking up to look at Tara. "I hope I don't become a cat." She whispered, that would make her humiliation complete!

Buffy shot Tara a grin. "Thanks, I figured there's nothing more terrifying than a bride from Hell." She looked over to the stairs when she heard her sister's voice, finally. "Glad you finally decided to join us, Dawn. And don't you look all Miss Princess of the Year." She laughed when Dawn said she felt nerdy. "I wouldn't say nerd... you look beautiful." Buffy told her little sister seriously, with a note of pride in her tone.
Buffy stood up from the couch, smoothing out her dress after she did. "Yeah, Bronze it is and yes, Dawn, you're coming. I wouldn't let you stay home alone on a Halloween night." She glanced over at Willow, noticing that both Tara and Will were looking uncomfortable. She walked over to Willow and placed a hand on her shoulder, overhearing what she'd said. "Like Dawn said, it can't happen twice, right? Even Sunnydale isn't THAT rotten."
Now she looked at the clock, then to the door. "I hope Giles is coming... he deserves a night of being someone else..." She paused, then realised what she'd said, "... I mean in being IN costume, not... living it."

When Willow walked in dressed as she was, he found it hard to pry his eyes off her. If he wasn't such a gentlman, he wouldn't be able to restrain himself from saying his impure thoughts, so he settled with, "you look beatiful Will."
Although Buffy on the other hand, she was something more. Not just hot, but beautiful. Ever since the day he died in hospital and Buffy was beside him the entire time, new feelings developed in him for her, not just a school yard crush. He didn't know what it was that had him feeling like this. Whatever it was, he hoped Buffy felt the same way.
Xander rubbed his cheek after Buffy's veil whipped him. "It's ok it didn't hurt" he lied, turned his head and mimed the word 'ow'.
"Tara, glad you could join us" he said greeting her with a smile. He was oblivious to the tension and awakardness between Willow and her.
"You look cute Dawn" Xander said when she doubted her costume decision, but regretted saying it, as she might take it the wrong way because of her crush on him, or maybe she wanted to look more then cute.

"Oh Giles is here" he said, at the doorway to the living room. He saw what everyone else was wearing and immediately thought what he was wearing was completely inapproiate. He was dressed as Julius Caeser, with the white gown with gold on the cuffs and collar and a red shal. He also was wearing a gold braclet that didn't dangle but stuck firmly to the skin, and to top it off a bronzed olive branch around his head. "I feel absolutely ridiculous" he said coming further into the room, cheeks bright red, mouth gaped open in awe at everyones else's costumes. "Maybe I should change". What Giles was wearing:

Hearing Buffy, Dawn smiled a little then bit her lip looking at Xander as she heard him say she looked cute. "Um...thanks Xander..." Looking at Willow, she smiled again "You look great Will..." Looking at Tara, she smiled and gave a little wave to her then hearing Giles, she turned toward the door and grinned a little wider "You look awesome Giles!!! We studying Romans right now in school so this would be great for my report if I can get a picture of you dressed like this."
Cutting off there, she turned to look at Buffy "You really sure you want the 'bratty little sister' to tag along? I could always contact some friends...I'm pretty sure there's a party going on somewhere..."

Willow couldn't stiffle the giggle that arose when she looked up briefly, away from Tara, to look at his costume. "It looks good Giles." She flushed while smothering another giggle. Her head snapped up when Dawn said she might not come, the more people to save her from humiliation the better and Dawn was a teenager, she avoided it like the plague. "You gotta come Dawn, I mean cos you tried so hard on your costume and everything." She said her eyes flitting to Tara, hoping her desperation didn't seem offensive in any way.

Tara's gaze turned to the stairs when she heard a new voice... and a Princess was coming down them. "Wow, you look pretty." She smiled at Dawn, thinking that costume suited the youngest Summer girl. Her already flushed cheeks turned even redder when Willow complimented her costume. "T...thanks." She stuttered, not believing how obvious she was being.
Tara turned her smile to Xander and nodded, acknowledging him that she'd heard him. She was glad, overall, that she had come too. It sure bet sitting home alone like she usually did on a normal night. Tara let out a small giggle when another person appeared in the lounge room. "I think you look swell, Mr Giles."
"W... Willow's right, Dawn, after all that effort you have to show it off." She glanced to Buffy, hoping big sis will agree to let Dawn come along... after all, it was only for one night of the year.

Buffy couldn't help but burst into laughter when Giles finally arrived. "Oh, I... um... yeah, you look great, Giles." She let out another laugh and turned away, not able to look at what was supposed to be her serious watcher. "No, don't change!" She added when she'd finally calmed down. "I... I didn't mean it. Come on, can you blame me, Giles?"
Buffy looked at her sister, now all laughter gone. "Dawn... you know I don't see you as bratty... well, not always." She added the last part like an afterthought, then continued, "And the answer is no way to that twisted idea of yours... you're coming with us." Now she glanced at both Willow and Tara before going on, "They're right, you need to show off how pretty you look, just don't show off TOO much, okay?"
She raised an eyebrow to her sister, knowing she'll have to keep an eye on Dawn... who knew who or what could be out there tonight.
