During this evening a thin fog had filled the graveyard, and in the graveyard, snooping around quietly, reading headstones, is a large white wolf. He is the size of a Great Dane maybe larger, but he looks like a pure wolf because of the shape of his head and the long fur. While he walked around until he found the stone he was looking for, he had left icy paw prints, freezing the grass as if he brought winter with him. He sits in front of the stone he had been looking for. In this darkness and the light fog around him, he looks like a ghostly wolf staring at a stone as if in morning of a lost master. However, that would be a typical human view on this, though it is not a master here that had past but a relative of his. Just a few headstones from where he is sitting is a new stone and freshly dug hole for a ceremony tomorrow morning, though he hadn’t paid any attention to it.
He just continues to sit at the stone that laid over where his nephew was buried many years ago. He lays down by the stone now and closes his eyes dreaming away how the last bit of his family lived and hoped they lived well.

He looks over at her and shakes his head some, after they both had finished on their cell phones. He stuck his phone back into his pocket and adjusts himself in his driver’s seat. “I’m not a disbeliever of vampires, I just don’t believe of the dyeing and then coming back to life as one.” He checks his pockets for his keys and then starts up his SUV. “Yes off to burn it, I saw a recent dug grave for a funeral happing tomorrow, since the hole dug, thought about throwing it in there and burning it, so it won’t leave anything behind or cause a larger fire.” He leans over and pushes the passenger door open for her. “Get in, there is bound to be more, they usually never hunt alone.” He reached his hand over to help her up since his SUV is larger than most out there.

Blinking and arching an eyebrow, listening to him, Dawn smirked a little and slid into the SUV easily. Sure it was huge, and with her size, she looked like she would need help, but thanks to the training, she had managed to slip into the SUV easily. "Believe it...vampires bite humans, humans dies, humans come back as vampires. All a circle of life in the vampire world my friend."
Hearing his comment on the graveyard, Dawn tilted her head "And you would know about the empty grave because....?"

He slowly pulls away from the curve and then drives off to head to the graveyard. “I happen to of seen it as I was driving by to head to your club.” He hands her a newspaper he haves. “It also states it in your local paper that there is to be a burial tomorrow morning.” He still haves it open to the obituaries section that announce when a funeral is going to be that day before it is, and the page after it is those that were recently buried.
He shakes his head some when she mentioned a vampire biting a human, killing a human from draining blood and then they again come back to life as a vampire. “I still don’t believe that fact of vampires. Sure, there is a chance of killing a human when draining them of blood, but there no record from my brethren of any coming back to life. There is always the drain near death to turn the human into your personal mind minion to make them do what you cannot during daylight hours. Other than that we chose humans to drink blood from, but only the needed amount to live, and without going into blood lust frenzy.”
It doesn’t take them to long to get to the graveyard, though as they arrive there they both can see a low fog taking over the whole place. While he pulls into the graveyard to, where he had spied the new hole. When he drove by earlier that night, also a few stones from the one with the fresh hole is something large and white. However, cannot tell what it is since it is very still and the white softly blends into the low fog. When he pulls the SUV to a stop, he looks over at the large thing in the low fog. “What the hell is that? That wasn’t there earlier…”

At first when the SUV pulled into the graveyard, he didn’t rise or move. At least not until the car was turned off and then he raised his large head to look up at the stopped automobile. When he noticed he had company now, he gets up and turns around with his back to them, and takes off running. He disappears behind one of the large buildings from their sight. Though that he had disappeared, he did not leave the graveyard. While he was behind one of the buildings he shifts into his human form and climbs to the top of the building to spy on them, and out of their eye sight to see what they are up to.

Buffy walked slowly towards the graveyard, pulling her jacket tighter around her because of the fog. It made the scene more eerie and she hoped that it didn't mean something big was coming. She even admitted to herself that she missed the typical vampires, they were so easy to kill compared to what she's faced since.
A large SUV passed her but she didn't take any notice, instead thinking back to when life used to be easier. Along the way, the slaying had become more difficult with many creatures and beings after her that she didn't even think could ever exist in this world. As she looked up towards the graveyard though, she noticed the same car had pulled up there.
"Can you be any more sus?" Buffy said to herself, stopping for a moment to watch. Nobody had emerged from the vehicle yet and Buffy's curiousity was rising.

Raising an eyebrow and looking at Tegan, Dawn shook her head "You really should meet one of my friends sometime: Spike. He has some sort of a sordid past with being a vampire. He can tell you all..." Cutting off there as the SUV pulled into the cemetery, she heard Tegan's words but didn't wait to let him finish.
Pushing open the door to her side of the SUV quickly, she jumped out then called over her shoulder "Keep up if you can...and be sure to take notes..." Grinning, she took off running in the direction she had seen where the tall...thing...had taken off in. Seeing a familiar figure standing off to the side, Dawn sighed, seeing Buffy "I'll explain later..."
Moving quickly toward the building where she had seen Corlafka vanish behind, she stopped and looked around "Come out come out..." Before she could finish, she looked up at the roof of the building he was standing on "Woah...wait a minute...I know you..."

He reaches out to try to stop Dawn from going after the large canine that had toke off running. Then he frowns when he misses on grabbing her arm to hold her into the car. He sighs as she runs off at the creature but stops at one of the buildings to look up at someone. He shakes his some and lets her deal with this being since she seems to know him. He climbs out of the SUV and then heads around the back of it to open it up and drag out the dead hellhound. As he swings the body over his shoulder and closes the hutch, he then heads over to the nearby hole that he can now see since the fog cleared up some after the large wolf ran away.
Once to the new grave he tosses the hound into the hole with the tarp still wrapped around it. After he had tosses it into the hole he notices that someone else is in the graveyard besides himself, Dawn and the guy on the roof of a building. He looks over toward the wondering female in the graveyard while is pour a little lighter fluid on the hound and then tosses a match on him to start a fire. He watches her some and then looks at Dawn, and shakes his head.
“What are you doing over there Dawn?” He asks aloud to her while he watches her though not paying attention to what she is trying to do. He starts to walk over to Dawn while the hound slowly burns away.

Corlafka looks down at Dawn and frowns at her. “You have some good instincts but you should never follow something as large as you when it runs from you.” He moves over and leaps down from the building just in front of her. He crosses his arms, looks at her, and cocks a brow at her. “Especially a creature like that one that had ran away, because that was not his true form.” While he was telling dawn this, he looks up to see Buffy walking around the graveyard and smiles when he sees her.
He ignores Dawn a bit and starts to walk towards Buffy while the other guy is walking toward Dawn. While he continues his way to Buffy, he stops and looks down at the fire that Tegan had started to burn away the hellhound and scratches his head. As he then looks back at Tegan and Dawn. “What is that?” He asks as he points into the grave at the burning corpse.

Buffy's interest hit the all time high when she saw who emerged from the car not long after she'd arrived. Her eyes widened at the sight of her sister... the sister who she thought was tucked safety in bed at home and NOT out with... whoever she was with. Buffy didn't like the look of the man but Dawn appeared fine and even grinned at the stranger, so she knew he wasn't a threat. But that didn't mean she still wasn't mad at Dawn for defying her...
Buffy was now shocked that Dawn hadn't even looked surprised that she'd been caught out... her little sister seemed more interested in whatever they were chasing. "Dawn!" Buffy yelled, but it fell on deaf ears as Dawn continued to leave her.
However, her glare was taken off her retreating sister's back as she noticed the man go to the trunk of the SUV. She frowned at what she saw... a dead demon? Who was this guy exactly and why hadn't she seen him before? Surely if there was another helper, like Angel, she would have known about it.
She finally moved towards the burning thing in the grave and glanced down. What was going on here? Then she looked up as a familiar voice was heard. "That's the million dollar question." She answered dryly before Dawn or the other guy could. She was glad that Corlafka didn't seem involved and she did have to admit, it was nice to see him again. As she waited for an explanation from the other two, Buffy gave him a smile in greeting. "Haven't seen you in a while... how have you been?"
Buffy had liked Corlafka since she'd met him at the Bronze that night, and had a wonderful dance with him. At that time, she'd done it to spite Angel but now he wasn't present it was clear to her that she did actually like this guy.

Blinking Dawn looked at Buffy and rolled her eyes "Buffy!!" Yelling that right back at her, she looked back at Corlafka then arched an eyebrow crossing her arms over her chest. She really did look like a younger version of Buffy as she stood this way. "Yeah, well, anyone ever tell you it's not nice..."
Cutting off there, she watched as he walked past her toward her sister. Narrowing her eyes, she rolled them then shook her head. "Whatever..." Looking at Tegan, she smiled a little "Um...Buffy, Tegan; Tegan, Buffy." Shrugging she looked at the burning hellhound then looked at Corlafka "It was a hellhound. You know, nasty demons...snarling, biting, that sort of thing?"
Seeing how Buffy was reacting toward Corlafka, Dawn looked away. Wasn't there a guy her sister wouldn't flirt with? "So...million dollar question here: Who the heck are you, big, tall, and darky?"

He nods to Buffy while he walks to the grave where he tossed the hound. “Yes it is a hellhound; it tried to attack a young female earlier tonight. However, it was easily token care of and the girl sent home safe and sound. However, I do have to wonder why this one was alone, and not in a group of two or even a small pack. Along with whom breed or summon this unusual looking hound that looks to humanish and not so much canineish like the old days.”
He crosses his arms while he looks down at the burning body as the fire quickly consumes it now and burning a little brighter and faster now. He just stands there and looks between the girls and the other male that seemed too appeared out of nowhere. The just stands quietly with his arms crosses waiting and watching things closely and staying prepared if he must defend himself again.

He smiles at Buffy, “I have been good, but busy with work and how about you Buffy, hopefully not working or partying too hard around town?” He chuckles softly, smiling at her, and then looks at Dawn, and cocks his head to the side like a curious dog would when anyone is talking about something new. Well at least he is pretending to be curious at this time since Buffy still doesn’t know much about him yet nor what he really is. He chuckles some at Dawns question. Then holds out his hand to shakes hers, “I am Corlafka.” When she shakes his hand, she can feel his hand is icy cold to the touch.
He then looks down at the burning body again. “A hellhound you say? So a creature from the depths of Hell? Very interesting, I read a mythalical historical belief of the hounds before, but I thought they were dog like just as the stories told them to be.” Scratches his head some, then shrugs. “Other than reading about them, that is all I know about them and other myth creatures.” He looks back to Dawn. “Though that wolfish creature you decided to run after is not what it seems to be. In which is why you saw me on the roof of the building watching it. However, if you continued after it like you did, it would of felt threatened and turn to freeze you in a block of ice.”

Fingers gingerly held a cigarette, inhaling and sighing out the smoke. Moccasin clad feet padding through the graveyard not paying much attention to where she was walking or who was around her. Suddenly something big and furry was running her way eyes flitted up and she jumped out of the way just as it barelled past. She looked around for any sort of weapon, or a tree she might be able to shimmy up if it was going to veer around. Nothing.
Crap. Standing in a fighting stance, the cigarette between her teeth she watched as it continued to run off. She was lucky it didn't turn around. It must've been scared by something. Her eyes darted back in the direction it had come from. Whatever had scared it must be something to reckon with. She couldn't make out who was in the distance, but she heard voices. They sounded like they weren't evil and while she was hesitant some part of her was egging her to continue walking forward. So, she did. Seeing them standing there she stopped a couple hundred yards away, "Hi."

Alaki was hunting, but not to eat. She was looking for her friend, Maze Riley. Really, for such a small town it was hard to find a single person in Sunnydale, even with her enhanced vampire senses. This place also seemed to be a place of convenience with places she had never noticed before until she needed them—it was all very strange.
Alaki was just thinking of giving up and returning to her crypt when something large and fuzzy-looking when careening past her at a wild, headlong gallop. Alaki frowned, watching the thing run into the darkness. Then she turned towards from where it had come. When in doubt, head towards trouble, she thought and walked into the graveyard.
It took her several minutes rooting around amongst the millions of gravestones—seriously, how many people had died in Sunnydale?—until she found what she was looking for. A girl stood in a random space clear of gravestones smoking a cigarette. “Maze,” she called heading to her friend, not noticing the other figures coming towards them in the dark.
