Sighing and watching Kage leave the shop, Dawn finished putting everything away that she was assigned to put away. Checking her watch, she saw Giles looking toward the back of the shop and bit her lip, hoping that Alaki and Excalibur headed out of there. "Um...Giles...isn't it time for me to get some coffee...or something?" Hoping to distract him, she furrowed her eyebrows then relaxed as Giles nodded and gave her some money to get some coffee. "Oh...and here's a new shipment of books to put away..."
Looking back toward the back of the shop, she continued to hope to distract Giles away from there then picked up her purse "So..black...straight...two sugars...right?" Grinning and seeing Giles grow distracted by the shipment, she shouldered her purse along with the slip of paper showing the order then made her way out of the shop before cutting into the alley not knowing that Kage was still near as she opened the door to the back room "Um...Alaki, not to hurry you...but you better hurry...Giles might be back here sooner or later and if he sees you back here he won't like it."
Motioning toward the alley, she grinned "I'll leave the door open but I gotta get going, I've gotta get a coffee order." Saying that, she turned and made her way out of the alley onto the sidewalk as it grew darker, the daylight hours slowly waning away to dusk.

Kage continues to watch Dawn, knowing this young girl is very special and powerful whether she knows that or not. Since she is so special he knows that he needs to keep a close eye on her, no matter where she goes, she’ll have many demons and other powerful creatures after her. He adjusts his spell a little so that he can continue to watch her without her knowing, and while she leaves, it takes a crystal he also picked up and places the mix together in it. So that he can watch her through it as if it was a TV, while he follows her as he moves quietly and quickly on the rooftops.
While she about to round a corner she runs into Xander causing him to spill the coffee and hot chocolate he bought for everyone at the shop. He hisses a little in pain from the feeling of hot drinks spilt on him. He looks up at Dawn and frowns at her some, “Dawnie you need to be careful, that really hurt and now I have to go back and get some more.” He goes to a nearby trashcan and throws the cups away. “Let's go get some more, we shouldn’t be out alone when it is starting to get dark, don’t know what creepy crawlies are at there… Besides, I need help if I am going to get us some pizza tonight for a long night on research on that new creature you mentioned. That your history teacher was talking about since Giles is so set on learning as much as possible on a demon he never heard of.”
While Xander talks with Dawn, Kage hides on a rooftop about two buildings away from them and watches them through the crystal. Waiting on them to take off again and follow here, since this is a night of a full moon, which has more dangers than any other night. When Xander starts to lead her off to the late night coffee shop next to the pizza place, he sends her to order four pizzas, two cheeses and two pepperonis. While he gone to the coffee shop to re-order all the drinks.
(I know this isn’t much of a Xander from the show, but it was all I could come up with at the moment.)

(Full moon you say.)
A beast ran free through the shadows, the light of the full moon reflecting off its black eyes, hot pants of its breath sending visible plumes into the cool night air. Sounds and smells filled its senses, so much prey just there for the taking. It paused, sharp claws digging into the ground as a particular scent, somehow familiar to a part buried deep within its primal mind, stood out from the maze of others.
The werewolf lowered itself closer to the ground pushing underneath a wire fence, stray wire snatching bits of its course fur before it pulled free heading through a dark alley, the only sounds were that of its claws clicking along the hard ground. There...the wolf stopped hunkering low as its dark eyes fixed on Xander and his young companion, a feral growl building in its throat, drool dripping from its sharp fangs as it watched from the dark shadows. Muscles tensed waiting for the right moment to strike.

Alaki didn't notice when Dawn left or how many hours had passed. She was having too much fun reading not only her Watcher's Diary but her Sire and brother's as well. These Watchers sure do get a lot wrong, she thought as she flipped through Luke, one of her brother's Diary.
Only when Dawn returned to the back room and warned her that the current Slayer's Watcher, a man named Giles, might come back here soon and wouldn't be happy to find her there reading his precious Watcher's Diaries. Alaki quickly scrambed to her feet, Mark's--another one of her brothers--Diary falling from her lap with a heavy thunk. "Thanks Dawn," she said as she bent down and began picking up the books she had scattered around her over the course of the several hours she had been there. With inhuman speed she placed them back on the shelves in their proper places then she headed for the door, swinging Excalibur, which had fallen asleep in its sheath, over shoulder.
Outside Alaki took a deep, uneeded breath. The moon hung low over the horizon, large and full. The wolfies are gonna have fun tonight, she thought with a smile. Dawn had already disappeared around the corner of the alleyway so Alaki followed her scent till she reached a coffee shop where it was covered by the overbearing smell of coffee beans, spices and the sweat of humans. She sighed, she had really wanted to thank Dawn for letting her read those Watcher's Diaries but there wasn't enough blood in the world to get her to go willingly into a coffee shop, even standing across the street from one made her head ache. Instead, Alaki settled for leaning against the brick building directly across the street from the coffe shop and waiting for the second human she had dubbed as hers.
Alaki didn't have to wait for long. Not fifteen minutes later Dawn reappeared, this time accompanied by someone Alaki hadn't expected: Xander Harris, one of the Scoobies, specifically the only Scooby Alaki was sure was nothing more than a normal human who had made the mistake of being friends with the Slayer and allowing himself to be dragged into the mess that was the Slayer's life. It was a little foolish in Alaki's opinion, Xander could very easily get killed since he was just a human, but she'd watched the Slayer and her gang long enough to know that the idiot had probably insisted on being involved. Alaki herself found Xander had a tendancy to grate on her nerves, not that she had ever actually met the guy, so she really wasn't all that thrilled about talking to Dawn with him standing there but Alaki really did want to thank the young teenager so, with a sigh, she pushed herself up from her leaning position and hurried across the street after the two humans, Excalibur's sheath thumping against her back.
"Hey Dawn!" she called once she was within hearing distance of the two humans. She smiled at them when she reached them before focusing in on Dawn. "I just wanted to say thank you for lending me those books. They were really interesting." Alaki hoped Dawn got the message, though there really was no reason she shouldn't.

Hey Dawn~ An ear twitched at the sound, the wolfs eyes broke their lock on Xander moving to the being that had just entered its peripheral vision. Black eyes followed her path across the street toward its intended targets. Jaws clanked nervously, sensing this being was stronger than the others, may pose a threat, but hunger was winning over. Its attention drifted back to the one it sensed was weakest of the group, therefore the easiest prey.
The wolfs human counterpart would be horrified at the beasts current position. Horrified that instead of being locked away inside the crypt, where a cage now sat empty the barred door laying broken from the hinges, it was crouched here in the shadows of an alley waiting to attack, to feed on some hapless victim especially when said victim was considered a friend.

Hearing Xander's voice as she bumped in him, Dawn looked up. "Um...sorry Xander...must've been...preoccupied." Furrowing her eyebrows and looking over her shoulder toward the direction that Kage was in, she narrowed her eyes. She didn't know how...but she knew something was there. Sighing she nodded then looked at Xander "Sure...let's go get a fresh batch...again, yeah, sorry.."
Following him down the sidewalk, she looked around and wrapped her arms around herself as she noticed the full moon. Man...what was it about these nights that set her on edge? After picking up the pizzas, she walked with Xander back toward the shop when she suddenly stopped and swallowed inwardly, hearing the growl. That was odd...it was a low growl...inhumanly low to the human ear...but she heard it.
Looking toward the other voice calling to her, Dawn smiled and nodded then waved to Alaki "No problem...hope you like them!" Looking back toward where she heard the growl, she searched her mind for something that could be following them then spoke to Xander in a low ton "Xan...full moon tonight...I think we're being followed." Clutching the pizzas and pushing them toward Xander, she looked at him fully then reached into her jacket "Get to the shop and don't ask questions..." Saying that, she turned around clutching in her hands one of the forbidden objects that wasn't supposed to grace the hand of the teenaged sister of the Slayer, a stake.

Deep growls became louder, growing into a dangerous snarling as the werewolf scented the air. The smell of prey so close, so tempting drove the beast over the edge no longer able to deny its hunger. It charged from the dark shadows in a primal rage, jaws snapped wildly sending bits of drool through the air, claws digging into the hard ground with every leap leaving shallow gashes in their wake. Its black soulless eyes fixed on its prey, on Xander, its was going to feed and nothing was going to get in its way.

Having arrived at the Magic Shop just as Dawn left, Willow was apparently preoccupied. She had heard from the mutual friends that she shared with Oz that he was back in town. But she had never let the others know. She wanted to believe that he could handle himself. But just in case. Looking up from one of the books, she looked out the window at the full moon and ran a hand through her hair. Looking over at Giles, she sighed "Giles...I...uh...I'm gonna see if I can catch up with Dawn. Maybe she'll need help."
Seeing Giles nod but not look up from the book he was reading, Willow shrugged then quickly went into the back room where the weapons were stashed. She wasn't about to let things escalate if Oz didn't have anyplace to go when he became the werewolf. Loading one of the guns with several tranquilizer cartridges, she squeezed it. It had been a while since she had to have used it.
A few minutes later, she was near the location where Dawn and Xander were then froze as she saw the wolf charging toward them. "Xander, Dawn! Get down!" Yelling that, she quickly aimed the tranquilizer gun at Oz then shot it at him hoping that her shot was still as good as it was.

It had been so close, sharp claws tearing through the back of Xanders shirt barely missing the skin before the man ducked down. An intruding voice and the sound of a firing gun filled its ears as the werewolf veered off course falling to the ground, the bottom of its lower jaw scraping along the pavement before regaining its footing. The werewolf turned its sights on Willow jaws open wide sharp fangs bared in a vicious snarl. Muscles tensed as it moved quickly, intent on circling and charging from behind.
The beast was stopped short as it dodged into the street colliding with an oncoming car with a sickening thud. A sharp yelp broke through the air, claws scraped along metal as it rolled onto the cars hood and off to the side flailing wildly. Blinded by pain the instinct to run took over. The injured werewolf scrambled to its feet darting back into the shadows of the alley from which it came.
A young man stepped out from the car. “Dude! Did you see that dog!” He called out as he moved to the front inspecting the damage and bit of blood on the cars hood. “Man my Dads gonna kill me!”

Without thinking, as she saw the wolf racing at them out of the corner of her eye, Dawn gasped then grabbed Xander and yanked him out of the way with more strength than thought humanly possible for a 'normal' girl her age. Watching the drinks and pizza fall to the ground she shook her head "Ah man...not again!!!" Ducking down with him as she heard Willow's voice, Dawn furrowed her eyebrows. When did Willow become a great shot? Then she remembered through the false memories implanted in her mind about Oz. Wait a minute...
Looking at the wolf, she looked at Xander "Xander, sorry about the drinks and pizza but...um..." Hearing the car screeching around the corner, she widened her eyes as she watched it hit the wolf "Oh no.." Looking at the young man, she bit her lip then shook her head "Um...sorry about that...hold on." Knowing the cat was out of the bag about her strength, she sighed "Could you..." Watching him turning his back on her as he pulled out a cell phone, she quickly reached into the dent that Oz had made and quickly straightened it out.
Looking at Willow and Xander, she knew she had a lot to answer for later on but now...now the hunt was on. "Explain later...Willow, let me borrow that...and keep up if you can." Yanking the tranq gun out of Willow's hands, Dawn took off after Oz, slightly keeping up with him. Seeing him turning into an alley, she caught her breath and then gripped the gun in her hands "Okay...I'm not going to hurt you...I don't know if you can understand me...but really, not gonna hurt you. I know you're just a human any other time except when there's a full moon.."
Murmuring those words softly just to comfort herself more than anything, she bit her lip as she kept a tight grip on the gun, looking around the alley that they both went down, keeping her guard up.

Watching Dawn yank Xander out of the way and duck down, Willow widened her eyes. No way...no normal...HUMAN girl could do that. But then of course...Dawn wasn't any normal human girl. She was the key... Shaking her head, she watched as the tranq hit Oz then backed up as he turned on her. Making eye contact with him for a few seconds, she knew immediately who the werewolf was. Oh Goddess...Oz.
Watching him take off down the street then was hit by a car, Willow cried out in surprise then breathed a sigh of relief as she saw him take off down the street. Looking at Dawn as pulled the dent out of the car, Willow shook her head. There was no doubt...wait..what was she doing? The next thing she knew, Dawn yanked the gun out of Willow's hands and took off down the street, following the werewolf. "Dawn! No!"
Without thinking, she raced after Dawn, instinct to protect the younger girl going through her veins. Following her quickly down the street, she turned into the alley "Dawn...you really shouldn't be doing this..." Holding out her hands and watching as a ball of light formed around her hand, with a simple incantation, she shook her head "I have a feeling I know who the werewolf is...let me handle this..."
Using the ball of light like a flashlight, she called out softly "Oz...where are you? It's all right...we're not going to hurt you..."

The werewolf ran ungracefully down the alley, limping badly on it right side, knocking over several trash cans in its wake. A small track of blood running from its snout leaving red drops along its path before crashing into the wire fence it had squeezed through before. It struggled for a moment panting heavily trying to scramble over the top before falling, yelping as it hit the ground.
Claws tangled in the wire as it tried and failed yet again. It was then it noticed Dawn approaching down the alley gun in hand. The wolf stood in defense hackles raising as its jaws snapped nervously at the air. It gave a short lunge towards the young girl claws swiping weakly at the air as its strength began to wain its vision becoming blurry as it noticed a faint light approaching. The old tranq Willow had hit it with finally took effect as the werewolf fell to the ground in a heap, breathing in short shallow pants.

Blinking and watching Oz clawing at Dawn, Willow quickly yanked Dawn back to safety then sighed as she watched him collapse to the ground. Kneeling down next to him, Willow looked up at Dawn "Dawnie, you and I have a lot to talk about later...but for now...let's put that 'new found strength' of yours to get him to safety shall we? Let's get him back to the Magic Box...preferably into the back room. Don't know how Giles will handle having a werewolf in his shop...and something tells me that it won't be pretty if anyone walked into the shop to find him there."
Watching the younger girl pick up Oz almost effortlessly, Willow bit her lip then sighed. "Oz..I really am sorry about this...I didn't want anything like to happen." Following Dawn down the alleyway, she nodded toward the back roads "Take him down the back roads...I don't think it would be a good thing to see a young lady like you carrying a werewolf down the middle of the street."
A few minutes later, they reached the Magic Box and Willow opened the door to the back room then watched Dawn lay Oz down gently. Kneeling down next to Oz, she furrowed her eyebrows then looked at Dawn "Dawn, go catch up with the others." Watching Dawn leave the room, she looked back to Oz and shook her head. Goddess...she knew they weren't a couple anymore but damn it...she couldn't help but feel guilty for what happened that night.
(All right, I didn't know what to do with Dawn so I combined the two...I hope it's okay that you were moved back to the Magic Box, Oz.)

One could only guess Giles reaction to the unusual shop guest laying on the floor in the back room of the Magic Box. The light in the back room reflected slightly off the blackness of its half closed eyes, eyes that held a dull glazed look from the tranquilizer running through its system. Its side, covered in course dark fur, rising and falling in slow steady rhythm.
The Oz-wolf took in a deep breath through its muzzle letting it back out with a loud huff through large lethal looking fangs, fangs that would forever curse whoever was unlucky enough to be on the receiving end of even just a single bite. It sensed a presence nearby but its body was unable to respond.
A rear leg jerked out involuntarily, clawed foot hitting the bottom of a nearby shelving unit leaving scratches in the old wood. The shelves contents shook, several items falling to the floor in a noisy clatter. A glass jar of rather potent incense teetered to the edge before gravity took over bringing it to the floor. The jar shattered to pieces on impact, intense odor of its contents overwhelming the back room. The intruding noise and scent caused the wolf to let out an even bigger huff of air along with a loud harsh animal sound caught somewhere between a yelp and a growl.

Gasping at Oz's reaction, Willow took in a deep breath and sighed inwardly. "Oz...it's going to be okay...really." Noticing that he was still under, she went about cleaning the potent elixir then walked over to the entry into the Magic Box. It was better to tell Giles now than to let him find out later.
"Erm...Giles...do you have..a change of clothes perchance? We...have a visitor of the wolfy kind in the back room." Seeing Giles look up startled from his book, Willow sighed "Oz is back...don't worry, I tranqed him. He's back there now sleeping but when he wakes...well, it could be rather embarrassing."
Seeing Giles nod then gesture to a small chest behind one of the bookshelves, Willow opened it to uncover some black jeans and a t-shirt. "Thanks..."
Thankful for him not pressing the issue, she walked into the backroom then sat down on one of the chairs, pulling the tranq gun over to her as she kept an eye on the sleeping Oz.
