Desired Character: Angelus
Appears in Angel, Buffy, or both?: Both
Character description: In an alley, in around 1753, Darla, a woman Liam met in a bar one night, sired Angelus. Angelus killed his family mercilessly afterward. Then, together, for about 100 years, Darla and Angelus reeked havoc where ever they traveled. Angelus was cunning and one of the most feared vampires in the known world, creating a trail of bodies where ever he went. His history was so bloody, it has become legendary. Arrogant with his killings, and having fun while he does it, his trademark was putting a cutting a cross in his victims' cheek. He enjoyed the thrill of the hunt, the sound of his victims' screams, the warmth and smell of their blood rushing from fear.
He likes to play games with his victims. He isn't the one to just slay and slaughter...unless it's necessary. No, it's more fun for Angelus to play with the victims' minds, utilizing their fear. It makes the final bite much, much more rewarding. In this way Darla and Angelus shared a special bond for the trill and havoc of destruction, taking advantage of wars and massacres, apocalypses and the players in them, all while romancing each other in between killing sprees.
One day Angelus took an interest in a saintly girl named Drusilla. So pure, so innocent, so waiting to be tortured. So Angelus took the liberty of killing her whole family and driving her mad before siring her. She then sired a man named William, more commonly known as Spike. Angelus took him under his wing, showing him everything he needed to know about being a vampire. Some lessons were crueler than others of course.
Angelus' days came to an end however, when he decided to feed on a gypsy. The ones from their tribe cursed Angelus with a soul. But there are moments when Angelus gets the lucky chance of seeing the dark of night once again. And when he does, no one in his path is safe.
Classification: Vampire
Good or Evil?: Evil
RP Sample: Angelus walked around the dark library of Sunnydale High whistling, running his fingers over the lines of dusty books on the shelves. A bunch of dust came on his fingers and he rubbed them together as he walked pass the table.
"Giles," He whispered. "You'd think for someone who spends all his time with books, he'd take better care of them. Tsk, tsk." He looked down at a large open one on the table. "I mean, they're just laying around, unkept. All ready for me to look at and see what the Scooby Gang is up to now. Giles always manages to be of service." He gazed down and saw the large book open to a chapter about him.
He laughed. "Oh let's see here. The gang felt they needed to do some research to slay the big bad vampire guy. Probably figured I'd be out there, feeding on some girl in some dark alley. " He flipped the book closed, looked up and frowned in mock offense. "And I thought they knew me."
He laughed again. "And the best part is..." He said, smirk planted on his face, voice low. He ran his fingers over the table. "Buffy's probably with them too." He grabbed one of the dusty books and planted himself in the chair next to the table. "I mean, what can I say? The girl's in love with me." He flipped through the book nonchalantly.
"Now how can I let her down easy?" He paused, still flipping through the book. Suddenly he threw the book over his shoulder. "I know!" He stood up and slowly walked over the the front desk.
"I'll kill her friends first...and save her...for last. That way...her knowing that she's going to die will be much easier to swallow when she realizes how useless she was in saving them. I say that's letting her down easy, don't you think?"
He knelt down to the blond girl in a cheerleading outfit he tied up. She whimpered in fear and Angelus smiled at the sound.
"P-p-please. Just let me go. I was only coming back from cheerleading practice! I really am no use to you, whoever you are! Just please...let me go!" She begged, tears running down her cheeks.
"Whats the use of practice, really, when you mess up every single cheer? I mean I've only been to a few football games, but come on. There's a thing called being in sync."
The cheerleader's eyes widened. "No, that's not true..." More tears streamed down her face.
"Listen, listen." He paused trying to hold in his laugh. He lowered his gaze and then looked up at her seriously. "Give me a cheer. Right now. Then I'll show you something."
The girl swallowed hard and tried to compose her sobs. "Y!...E!...L!...L!" She choked. She swallowed again. "Everybody yell! Yell!....Y!"
Angelus morphed, baring his fangs, satisfied with the adrenaline rushing through her blood as she said the cheer. The girl froze, eyes wide.
"Yell," Angelus said before diving for her neck.
She did.
