Desired Character: Angel(us)
Appears in Angel, Buffy, or both?: Both
Character description: He has many names. Liam, Angel, and worst of all--Angelus. Born more than 200 years ago, Angel has seen a lot of things and been to a lot of places, including Hell. The first place he’s ever known was 18th century Ireland, where after having a long troubled relationship with his father, he succumbed to drinking. One night in a town bar, he met someone that changed everything—Darla. Darla gave him immortal life in an alley in 1753, creating the most fearful vampire duo the world has ever seen. Together, for about 100 years, Darla and Angelus reeked havoc where ever they traveled, until one day, after meddling with a gypsy tribe, Angel was cursed with a soul, doomed for eternity to drown in his guilt for all the pain and suffering he caused.
In the 1990’s, Angel found himself in Sunnydale, where he met Buffy. To attempt the hopeless task of redeeming himself for all of the pain he caused, he decided to help the slayer in her efforts to save lives and the world. Eventually, he fell deeply in love with her. It was a forbidden love—a vampire with a vampire slayer—but a deep and passionate love, nonetheless. Their passion, however, revealed how forbidden their love for each other really was, when after achieving perfect happiness with Buffy, Angel was lost to Angelus once again. Angel was eventually re-insouled, but after being sent to Hell, Angel struggled with the decision to leave Buffy once they were reunited, for her own safety and well-being. So after her graduation, Angel walked away from Buffy and Sunnydale, for good.
Angel made a new home in LA, still attempting to save lives and redeem himself as well. As if by fate, he met up with some old friends—Cordelia and Wesley. He also met some new friends—Gunn, Fred, and Lorne. Together they formed the Angel Investigations team. He also faced new and old enemies as well, as flashes from his past (Darla, Spike, Drusilla, Holtz, and more) continue to haunt him in his efforts to be the one who helps the helpless. The champion.
Classification: Vampire with a soul
Good or Evil?: Good, but give him perfect happiness or some how take the soul out of him, very…very evil.

“I suppose I didn’t need to do that,” Angel said mostly to himself.
Angel took slow steps over the door he just kicked down. He had a habit of kicking down entrances unnecessarily, at least, that’s what Cordy kept telling him. He looked cautiously around the pretty uninteresting interior of the suburban house. It didn’t seem like anyone was home…anyone human, that is. He could smell the scent of something dead who obviously lived there. He entered the modest dining room, walking a bit on a side angle, prepared for any attack that might come his way. He ran his pale fingers over the wooden dining table, as he thought about what could be waiting for him inside this pretty mundane house. Cordy’s visions from The Powers That Be were pretty vague, with not much to go on except ‘get there, and get there fast’. So Angel jumped in his GTX, actually kind of glad to get out of the hotel. For most of the night he sat in his office, brooding about Wolfram and Hart, the secret they were hiding, and what it exactly had to do with him and the Shanshu Prophecy. He didn’t like thinking about the prophecy, to be honest. Who knows if the translations were correct or not? Besides, he didn’t feel good or right thinking that all of what he was fighting for would eventually come to an end and everything would just be…okay. That all the years of misery he caused to innocent people would eventually be…okay. Sure, at surface level, the prospect would be nice, but the more Angel thought about it, the more the whole idea didn’t sound quite right.
Angel halted abruptly when he heard a noise. It came from the living room. It sounded like the moving of furniture. Angel silently took a hold of his stake and approached the closed door to the dining room. Upon approaching closer to the door, he heard what definitely sounded like a scream and by complete instinct, he barged in the door….and froze.
There was a man and a woman on a couch, laying on top of each other, their moans loud, and thankfully, their clothes were still somewhat on. The man, upon hearing Angel, whipped around.
“What is this? What are you doing in my house, you twit?” He sat up, buckling his pants.
Angel shifted his eyes uncomfortably. “I was…um…” He glared at them, quizzically with a hint of embarrassment. “Are you sure there’s no danger here?”
“NO!” The woman screamed. She promptly threw a high heel shoe at him, which Angel easily dodged. Thanks for quick vampire instincts, Angel thought. “Get out!” the woman screamed.
“Danger? Are you drunk?”
“What—no. I mean…” His face went firm and while pointing at the ground he said, “Hey! Someone needs saving here! Now who is it?”
“YOU, if you don’t get out of here.”
“Maybe I should go,” the woman said, attempting to get up. Suddenly the man grabbed her throat and forced her down on the couch. “You’re not going anywhere.”
“Hold it,” Angel said. “She didn’t do anything wrong.” His face went stern as he took a few cautious steps forward.
The woman looked pretty fearful now. “Let go of me!” The man turned around to Angel his grip still on the woman. “Do you know how long I’ve been waiting to get any girl I want? Huh? Then here you come looking all…the way you do…with your leather coat and hair product—“
“Okay calm down.” Angel said. “And—I don’t use too much hair product do I?” He couldn’t exactly look in the mirror.
The man continued. “I mean, I’ve suffered for most of my life, man! But now that I’ve…changed…I can get any woman I want. And then…I dispose of them.” The man’s face morphed in to his vampire form. “Sweet deal huh?”
The woman screamed.
Things started to make sense now. He knew it would eventually. Now, time to let out some pent up aggression. “I’d say so,” Angel replied before charging at the vampire.
