The pirate glared at Xander. "Oy! What do you mean 'who am I'?" He asked, clearly outraged. "Who are you?" He continued gazing at Xander as Buffy started to speak. He grinned smugly the moment she said the word 'captain'. He pointed a thumb in her direction, telling Xander that that was his answer. "Ah, captain."
He then promptly spun on his heel towards the blond woman, grin still on his face. "I believe you have just uttered two of the answers to your own questions, Miss...er, Buffy." He addressed the group, voice in a slurred drawl, waving his arms about to give notice to the area around them. "This be a ship, if ye haven't noticed, and it happens to be your current location, as you also...apparently...haven't noticed." He put his fingertips to his chest. "I am Captain Jack Sparrow, savvy? Now, you are lost, that is for certain. Let me take a moment to familiarize you with your surroundings." He opened his hands towards his left, as if presenting something. His grin was wide with exaggeration. "Water." He turned to his right. "Water." He turned around. "Oh look! More water!" He turned back to the group.
"Okay I got that much," Angel interjected. "But where are we?" Angel spoke cautiously, not sure if this strange man was coming or going. As he talked he tried to discreetly slip the medallion in his pocket.
"Ah yes, this coming from the man and his crew of travelers that mysteriously materialize on my ship. Of course, it makes perfect sense, in a nonsensical fashion. But alas, we are heading due...." He paused and frowned, taking out his compass,. Swaying a bit on his feet, he followed the spinning arrow with his finger.
"He's lost," Angel said, dryly.
Jack looked up. "Yet clearly I seem to be in a better overall position than you in the present moment, aye?" His gaze went back to his compass. "I know exactly where I am. We are headed due....that direction!" He pointed in some random direction. "...relatively."
He grimaced and snapped the compass shut. "No matter." He gazed at the three and waved his hand at Xander and Angel's direction. "So I know who th' pretty lass is. Now who might you two be, mateys?"
Angel swallowed uncomfortably. "Angel," he replied.
"Ah. Angel." Jack nodded, furrowing his brow. He then said in a low voice, gesturing a thumb towards Buffy again. "You sure that's not her name, lad?"
Angel gave Jack an intense glare but said, just as low. "I'm sure."
"Ah! Well then! Welcome aboard! Now you, lad." He turned to Xander. "Same question. Who are you? And please tell me you have a better version of th' tale of how you got on my bloody ship?"
