Giles came and tried to help Xander's wounds, although Xander wasn't aware of the spell they were under, unlike Giles who was. Xander pushed Giles away from him as soon as he got close enough.
Apparently you can't see that because you've got people like Xander over there making you believe that everything is a game. So why don't you wake up!"
"What do you mean people like me? I don't think this is a game, I've never have. I'm aware of the dangers this world has, I'm not stupid." As soon as he said that he looked at everyone defensively, "don't say anything" he warned. "How dare you judge me because I'm not a slayer or...or a vampire with a freaking soul!" He cried.

"If you don't like being called a child, my advise would be to stop ACTING like one," Buffy retorted back to Xander. "If you bothered to ever take things seriously, this would NOT happen!" She couldn't believe that she was voicing what she'd always thought about Xander. She'd never said that before to spare his feelings but now she felt the urge to wind him up. That was strange...
Buffy then jumped as Angel hit the table, causing it to break. Angel's words felt like a knife cutting through her heart, but she forced herself not to let it show. Then Xander began to speak again and she instantly grew angry again.
"No one is judging you, Xander. We don't want you to be a slayer or a vampire... do you want to be one? Because I have news for you... ALL of you... it is NOT an honour or a privilege being the slayer... I can't even call it a bad job. I risk my life every night so everyone here can live! But no one realises that, do they?" She then turned her voice to a mimic of a little girl. "Oh look, there's the slayer with the easy life and nothing to worry about..." Now her voice returned to normal. "You have no idea how hard this is on me..." She then turned away from them, not able to continue. She'd never voiced how much being a slayer pained her and she never thought she would.

Xander laughed when Buffy said that she risks her life every night, "and you think we don't?!" He was furious, "we risk our lives by just being your friend. And I'm sick of you bragging about being the slayer. If you didn't like it and you don't find it a privilage then you would never talk about it!" He growled. "I'm tired of this!"
He started for the doors, instead of going straight through them he ran straight into them. He turned to face his friends, "oh great now we're stuck!"

Buffy glared at Xander with annoyance. "You chose to be my friend and to help me... it's your own fault... I can't help being the slayer, I don't get a choice, you do." She shook her head and laughed at Xander's response without humour. "You are stupid, Xander. With what I just said, how was that bragging? I wish you'd listen just once. You might be surprised..."
Buffy rolled her eyes as Xander walked into the doors. "At least I don't complain when something doesn't go my way... instead of complaining, do something about it!"

Angel watched intensely as Buffy and Xander started to go at each other. Angel turned from them, holding his head, trying hard not to morph again, but the more the arguments continued, the more pissed off he grew.
He moved over to the stairs, putting his hand on the railing, his head lowered, trying to control himself. "Stop it," he said through his teeth. Something wasn't right. He shouldn't be feeling like this.
"If you bothered to ever take things seriously, this would NOT happen!" he heard Buffy shout.
That's exactly right, something inside of Angel thought, making him even more pissed off at Xander.
"No, wait..." He said, fighting it.
"I'm tired of this!" Xander said.
"Something isn't right..." Angel whispered, trying to clear his mind of the muddled up emotions swarming in his head. But his efforts were in vain, it just got stronger.
"Instead of complaining, do something about it!" Buffy shouted.
Gladly, Angel thought before standing upright and taking long strides over to the door. He took Xander and pushed him forcefully. "Out of my way, Xander." Angel growled, before trying to kick down the door, but for some reason it wouldn't budge. He spun around. "Great! Now I'm stuck here with Mr. Wanna Be A Superhero." He paced a bit, then turned around and gave one last bang on the door with his fist. It made a threatening sound but did not budge the door. He leaned back on it.
"Hm. Now I know how Willow was feeling." He said under his breath.

"Hey!" Xander called when Angel pushed him at the way. Pathetic, he thought when Angel tried to kick down the door.
"Who u calling Mr. Wanna be a hero?!" He rolled his eyes at the riduculous insult. He walked further into the library. "There must be a way to get out of here" he muttered under his breath. He shrugged his shoulders, and rolled his neck. He glanced upward, he looked at the skylight, maybe Angel or Buffy could jump up through that he thought.
"Can we get through the skylight?" He asked as he turned to Buffy.

Buffy watched as Angel tried to force the door open and she couldn't help but smirk to herself as he failed. But she span her head back to face Angel at his last comment. "What do you mean you know what Willow felt? What's that supposed to mean?" She was still visibly upset that her friend had walked out in defeat.
Buffy then diverted her attention to Xander as he asked her a question. "The skylight?" She looked up too, then thought for a moment. "It might work... I can't see any other way out..."

"Might?! What do you mean might?" he yelled, voice quivering like he was almost about to cry. "Are my ideas that stupid that you have the need to add the word might in them." He stopped, took a few deep breaths. What ever was making them feel like this seemed to be wearing off, he could feel it. "So...rry" he force apology out to Buffy. "But we need to get a little bit higher. I don't think either you or Angel could jump that high." He scanned the library, looking for something that could help them get a little higher. Nothing, he thought. He looked to the group looking for ideas. (I totally forgot about the wound he recieved from the arrow. Lol. )

"Xander, chill. You going on about it doesn't help... we'll try what we can, okay?" She couldn't help it, she was sick of Xander always whinging because he didn't have anything special about him. He knew they all knew that and he knew they understood, so it annoyed Buffy how he would bring it up from time and time again. These thoughts shocked her, however. She'd never thought about Xander that way and she didn't like it now.
Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she continued, "If we all think together, I'm sure we'll sort something out. Now, any ideas?" Buffy looked around to everyone and waited, wondering if they could get past this without another fight breaking out.

Angel stood against the door and listened, periodically looking up at the skylight and knowing that was impossible. However he let Xander go about trying to realize his very impractical idea before Buffy knocked it down. Angel decided to take the opportunity to interject his two cents in.
"Yeah, I've got a few. The first one would be to keep Xander from coming up with any more of his brilliant plans." He glared at Xander before saying more seriously, "The second one would be to use something to break the windows."

Buffy nodded in agreement. "Right, so Xander, if you have any idea... don't."
She strode up to Angel and stood in front of him, so he was forced to look at her. "I don't think we need to destroy the building." She glanced at Giles, knowing he would agree with her. Looking back at Angel, she continued, "However, seeing as your idea is the best one I've heard so far, it'll have to do."
She began to walk around the room, hoping the others would get the same idea to search for something that wouldn't do too much damage, but enough to help them.

"My ideas aren't that bad!" Xander wined. "At least I'm trying to help, unlike Giles here".
"Break the windows, that's a good idea. Why did I never think of that?" He mumbled to himself. "Don't" He warned the group, fearing that they will make something out of what he just said.
His attention shifted to what Buffy was doing, it looked like she was looking for something to use to break the windows. He joined in on the search. He moved behind the desk. He looked under the desk.
"Hey, this could be useful" He came back up, waving around a gun. "Is there something that your not telling us?" He glared at Giles, handing the gun to Angel. He was to scared to give it to Buffy. She wasn't handy with guns/

Angel gave Xander a look when he gave the gun to him. Then he looked down at it uneasily. He gazed down at it, examining the bulky metal in his hand. He noted the fact that he was a room with a bunch of humans. He knew that he could do much more damage with it than any one there could to him. All of a sudden, the gun felt much heavier.
Angel swallowed hard, not caring what Giles had planned for it or why he even had it. As far as he was concerned, the library was littered with weapons, why not a gun. All he knew was that with his current state of mind, it was best he didn't handle it. He put the gun on the desk. But found it hard to walk away from it. He took a deep breath and turned around, leaning against the desk, trying not to look at it.
He wasn't sure what to do with himself. But he had a certain urge to use it and he didn't know why. His eyes gazed at both Buffy and Xander, frozen, not sure what to say, his expression uneasy.
"We need to get out of here. Something's not right." Was all that he could muster.
*muse...what to do without Giles?*

(Since Giles is gone from the site, we'll have to make do without him...)
Buffy eyed the gun Xander had found and turned to Giles, but he'd mysteriously disappeared. She gasped, then looked at Angel with the shock evident on her face. "Where'd...?"However, her question stopped in her throat when she noticed Angel acting strange when he was handed the gun. What was with him?
Then at Angel's words, Buffy rolled her eyes, unable to help herself. "Well, duh. I'm sure we all know that by now..." She gave him a look with raised eyebrows, telling him what she was thinking about him. Then she dropped the look and sighed. "Oh, I'm sorry, Angel. But it's pretty obvious something here isn't right, seeing as it's not everyday Xander and Giles go wiggy at each other and attack, is it? Especially with Mr Coward here."
Buffy gestured at Xander when she said the last part and a little voice in her head was asking why she was being so cruel for no reason. But that was one question that she couldn't answer.

Angel stood tense against the desk, his expression worrisome. Something inside of him, deep inside of him was moving, pushing to the surface. He caught Buffy's smart comment and narrowed his eyes at her, saying nothing. He tried to repress this urge to lash out, to morph and attack her. When her expression softened, Angel tried to think himself out of this irrational impulsive feeling.
I don't want to hurt her.
Angel looked at Buffy, then at Xander. Now just the sight of Xander made him....thirsty.
"No," Angel said out loud. He turned around towards the desk, not wanting to look at either of them.
It must be some kind of spell.
The gun stared back at him.
Angel swallowed hard and advanced towards the door.
It's got to be a spell.
He examined the door again, searching desperately for a way out. He didn't trust himself, and he hated the feeling. He loved Buffy, and if what ever was happening would cause him to hurt her, the most important thing was to stay away from her. Maybe it was just a spell. It wouldn't make sense if what he was feeling was...
Angel shook his head, examining the door with his hands. "No," he said, a bit of panic in his voice.
It's just a spell, he kept repeating in his head. It's just anger you're feeling, Angel. Nothing else. Not Angelus. Not--
That deep pressure from the core of his being shoved again, this time it was undeniable. He wasn't imagining it. This was something else. Not just a spell. Not at all.
Angel gasped loudly, turned around, his back pressed against the door, eyes and expression portraying nothing but panic. For that moment, all he saw was Buffy, and how he'd kill himself before he ever let anything happen to her.
"No, no, no..." he whispered again. His eyes quickly looking for any exit. "Something really isn't right." He advanced towards the stairs. Maybe he could get out the back way. But before he could make it there, that internal pressure suddenly became immense pain, like a disease charging at all parts of his body. All parts of his soul.
It made him fall at the foot of the stairs. "Buffy!" He gasped desperately. He couldn't move, he couldn't do anything at this point but endure the pain. He closed his eyes tightly, for he knew what was coming. He fought with all he had to keep it from happening. "Buffy--!" He tried to warn her that she needed to get out, fast. But his voice caught in his throat when a surge of some internal beast began to enveloped him.
Angel's world disappeared into darkness.
