Watching Oz slip out of the van and handing him the drink, Willow sighed and looked up at the sky in thought. Leaning against the side of the van, she sipped the other drink in her hand then looked back to him as he spoke about Buffy and everyone else, she shrugged. "Well...Dawn is getting ready to graduate next year from high school. And Buffy...Buffy's not really ready for her little sister to leave for college."
Shrugging and looking down, she sighed in thought "Xander, and Giles are all right. Me, I'm fine too. Trying to finish some college courses...but it's just changed so much...I don't know.." Running a hand through her hair, she didn't want to admit it didn't feel the same without Tara. Looking back to Oz, she smiled a little bit "How have you been doing?"

“Buffy, little sister?” Oz pondered on that for a moment, it seemed right but not right at the same time, must have missed something there but he was glad to hear his old friends were doing well.
“Willow.” Oz spoke up with a slightly somber tone. He leaned back against the drivers door beside her, a hand moving into the pocket of his jacket while the other held his half finished drink. His eyes wandered up to the sky fixing on the half moon, seeming to drift off for a minute, lost somewhere in the lunar light as a slight breeze ruffled through his wild hair. Oz finally blinked, the moon releasing its hold as his gaze moved to Willow looking her in the eye. “I need to apologize. I blamed you because I couldn’t control myself but it was never your fault.”
With that bit of business out of the way he pushed himself off the vans side deciding to ask about something else that was on his mind. “How are things with Tara?”

Vera rolled her eyes when Oz wandered off without even saying goodbye. She had started chatting with a guy sitting next to her when she noticed Willow coming up to order a couple drinks before heading towards the door. Wait, isn’t that the infamous ex-girlfriend? Vera thought to herself.
Noticing the time on her watch she soon found herself wandering to the door as well. It was getting late anyways and she didn’t want Grandma getting worried. Maybe she would run into Oz outside, see if he still had that van of his, offer to give it a once over while he was around.
Zipping up her black jacket against the cool night breeze, Vera made her way down a row of cars parked outside The Bronze quickly noticing Oz’s old van but she noticed something else as well. Willow was there talking with him it would probably be rude to interrupt but something Oz said caught her attention. Something about blaming Willow because he couldn’t control himself? Did that have something to do with why he skipped town? Maybe drugs or something? Curiosity took over as Vera slipped off to the side standing out of sight but close enough to hear their conversation even though she knew it was wrong to be eavesdropping.

Blinking and wincing inwardly at him asking about Tara, Willow looked down and took a long drink off of the drink in her head. That had always been a tough question for her. She knew that Tara was in a better place now...but that didn't make it better for her. Thinking to get around to that topic delicately, she shrugged "Nothing to apologize for...I totally understand. Not that long ago I kind of...lost control myself..."
Biting her lip she shrugged "And yeah, Dawn's another long story...something about a mystical key being made into a sister implanted with memories of always being the slayer's little sister. Turns out that she not only was created from Buffy's blood...turns out that Dawn might have some of her sister's..talents...herself."
Smirking a little and remembering the displays that Dawn had shown recently, she still pondered how that happened. Sighing as her mind went back to Tara, she ran a hand through her hair "Tara...she's..." Pursing her lips, she looked away as the subject clearly hurt her to think about "Tara's not with us anymore..." Cutting off there, she looked at the drink and took another drink of it then looked over to the cars as if noticing Vera standing there then looked back at Oz. "What about you? What have you been up to lately?"

(Ugh...sorry had no clue what season to base this on so decided to treat it like Dawn was starting to develop into a smaller version of Buffy herself and that Tara had already been killed...I hope that's okay.)

(no problem)
Oz watched the red head as she talked about Dawn not really phased by the story. “Makes sense.” He replied bringing his almost empty glass up only to pause, his eyes narrowing slightly. He could sense a change in Willow when she spoke of Tara, the subject obviously upset her.
“I’m so sorry.” His hand lowered back down. He had known how much Tara meant to Willow, how happy Tara had made her. He hated to think of Willow going through that kind of pain again and with the connection he had sensed between the two Willow must have suffered a great deal. After a moment of silence he went on.
“I traveled. Never stayed in one place for long. Seemed like this place kept creeping its way into my head. Next thing I knew I was here, pretty much right back where I started.” Not wanting to go into much more detail about himself Oz finished off his drink holding the empty glass out to Willow. “You should head on inside, have some fun. I’m gonna find a place to park for the night.”

Listening to Oz, Willow sighed and shook her head quietly. "It's...all right. I had...an episode shortly after about wanting to end the world. But..." Smiling a little, she looked back to Oz "You would think it would be Buffy that would've pulled me back...really...it was Xander." Shaking her head, she pushed her hand though her bangs at the thought then looked back to Oz.
Hearing what he had been doing, she nodded "Traveling's good...I've been thinking about doing that myself. But, I think I'll wait till after Dawn's out of school. That way I can be there for her and help her choose a good college."
Listening to him saying something about finding somewhere to park for the night, she arched an eyebrow, taking the glass from him "Well, I'm sure Buffy would let you crash at her house for a while. That's basically where we're all staying. Me, Buffy and Dawn at least. Xander and Anya have their own place. There's plenty of room."

Vera bit her lower lip lightly looking down at her shoes, she could of sworn Willow looked right her. She kicked a small stone near her shoe, watching it roll off under someones parked car. Great, now she was feeling guilty, and a bit embarrassed about listening in on their conversation. They obviously knew she was there when they started talking about Dawn being some kind of key made from Buffy’s blood or something, and what was a slayer?
Yeah nice story guys, she thought before glancing at her watch and cursing under her breath. Guess she would have to wait and ask Oz about the van another time. Vera turned and started walking the other way heading home. Luckily it wasn‘t too far, just a few blocks really until she would reach the street where her and her Grandmother lived, and it wasn’t a bad night for walking. A little chilly maybe but hey that's what jackets are for right.

“Good old Xander. Remind me to thank him.“ His head tilted hearing the shuffle of feet nearby. Looking past Willow’s shoulder Oz noticed Vera walking off the other direction seemingly by herself. He wondered for a moment if walking alone was such a good idea for the blonde girl but his attention drifted back to Willow.
“Oh don’t worry, got a pretty sweet setup back here.” Oz replied to Willows last statement giving the side of the van a couple knocks. Lord knows he had slept back there plenty of times during his travels but the thought of a hot shower and a real bed was pretty tempting. “But if you’re sure you guys don’t mind my company I’ll take you up on that offer.” He slid his hands back into the pockets of his jacket giving Willow a brief smile, something that did not appear very often.
