Blinking and listening to Kage, Dawn gripped her glass in her hand as he brought up her power. Furrowing her eyebrows, she became slightly distant as he spoke of Glory then looked at him sharply "Thankfully she's gone...and she's not coming back..." Taking a sip of her drink, she looked back to the bar and muttered "At least I hope she's not..."
Looking up at him as he said he was called to the school because of her power, she frowned "My power? But I don't..." Remembering how she cut her hand in science class one day on a broken beaker, she closed her eyes "Oh man...I forgot about that incident....I...I didn't mean to call you there..."
Hearing him ask Rain about the Inari Demons, she tilted her head to the side curious about that subject. "The Inari hmm? Don't they date back to the Shinto era? They were associated with the Hindu goddess Dakini otherwise known as Dakinten. They were also the deity of rice and protected the rice harvest. Weren't they also the patron of prosperity for farmers and merchants, especially those involved with the rice production, and fisheries?"
Crossing her arms over her chest, she looked down going into her studying mode. This especially would've reminded Rain of when she was studying with Buffy and the other Scoobies. Furrowing her eyebrows she continued,
"According to some legends, a sudden apparition, a female deity in fluttering raiment splashed up a frame of foam on a billowing sea. Riding a white fox on a cloud held aloft by a pair of dragons, she clenched a vajra (thunderbolt) surmounted by a sword, a symbol of Buddhist power. In her palm she cradled a triad of sacred jewels, and others are scattered around her as abundant blessings. In her crown were auspicious protectors of the harvest: diminutive foxes on coiled white snakes, like those that encircled her wrists. Above, another triad of sacred jewels rested on an open lotus, flanked by Chinese symbols of the complementary forces of sun and moon.
"This transformation of the wrathful Hindu deva Dakini emerged within Esoteric Buddhism in Japan. Originally a man-eating demoness, she was converted by the Vairocana (Dainichi) Buddha into a powerful life-engendering deity. In the complex interaction of Buddhism, Shinto, and Taoist yin-yang practices in medieval Japan, this icon embodied near-magical powers of fecundity that were invoked not only in enthronement rituals but also in personal contexts. The mantra identified with this deity was chanted to achieve control over the mind. Medieval tales recounted invocations of Dakiniten by both men and women to win position and favor at court, as well as in matters of the heart."
Pushing a strand of her hair back from her eyes, she furrowed her eyebrows again in thought before continuing "According to another legend, Dainichi Nyorai appeared as Daikokuten in order to subdue Daikiniten. It appeared that Daikokuten came to be a protector of food supply because images of him were placed in monastery kitchens in India and in China. In Japan this practice was said to have been begun by Saichou on Mt. Hiei. Later Daikokuten became more closely associated with food and good forture. This tendancy was reinforced by his identification with the Shinto deity Ookuninushino Mikoto."
Looking from Kage to Rain, Dawn tilted her head and smiled a little thinking that that was all she picked up from studying with her sister and the Scoobies, not knowing that the knowledge was there all the time. The young lady had had a knowledge of many demons because of her association with Glory and ability to open Demon Dimensions "What? I read you know...I actually help Buffy and the others study the demons she hunts from time to time..."

Rain felt her lip twitch up into a snarl but she forced it back down. Unbidden her mouth opened and she said, "Inari? Yea I know..." she stopped. Frowning she racked her brain trying to remember something, anything. Nothing came to her. "Damn amnesia," she growled.
When Dawn started giving them the history of Inari Rain listened intently. She didn't want to miss anything the teenager said, feeling that this was information she should know. To say Rain wasn't impressed by Dawn's knowledge of demonic history would be a lie. Everything she said rang true in Rain's ears. "Wow Muerin," she said when Dawn finished. "That's impressive."

Sighs and shakes his head at Dawn some. “True Inari was often referred to the human Buddha goddess Dakini; they had a lot in common but were not truly related.” He sits there and continues to listen to Dawn about this and a whole lot of it reminds him of his past.
He tries not to chuckle, when she had finished, then he gulps down the rest of his wine and holds up the glass to Rain. “May I have another?” He smiles sweetly at her.
He looks at Dawn, “well I am glade someone knows the human side of what was believed to be Inari and all the crazy reference to the human gods.” He leans back against the bar. “Though I shall bet that is in the human written books you and your friends picked up, Dawn. I know through the human information, through books and on the Internet that in Japan Inari and Kyuubi’s was highly regarded as a good thing, in China they had a mixture of good and evil, and then in both Koreas they were highly regarded as nothing but pure evil. I also know that everything in those writings isn’t all true.” He may have revealed an idea of how old he might be when he mentioned some of that.
He looks over his shoulder at Rain. “Amnesia, eh… well I know I wasn’t expect you to know much about the fox gods.” Points at Dawn, “though I am surprise this youngling knows so much of it from the human written view.”
He turns his head and looks at the crowd, before speaking to Dawn again. “Though all and all, Inari was truly known as fox gods. In which reference more to your yin and yang statement.” Looks over at Dawn and pokes her shoulder in a playful and friendly suggestion. When he touched her, his hand and fingers feel much hotter than they should for a human. “And what is this incident you mentioned before, that you spoke of when I had mentioned I was called to you by your powers?”

Blinking and listening to Kage, Dawn nodded and crossed her arms over her chest. True, she did read about it in the books...but she was starting to get the feeling that some of that knowledge might have been planted in her from the Demon Goddess Glory. Not wanting to share that information though, Dawn grinned a little "Yeah...Buffy wants me to stay away from all that she does...but it pays when I don't listen to her...sometimes I manage to bail her butt outta trouble."
Hearing Rain talk about the amnesia, Dawn sighed and nodded "You'll get you memory back soon Rain...I'm betting you will."
Blinking and looking at Kage as he asked about the incident that brought him here, Dawn sighed and tucked a strand of hair back behind her ear. She was hoping that she didn't have to bring this up but there it was. "Well...I was actually made to be a key to open up demon dimensions...we all know that...but after Buffy jumped into the portal instead of me, we all thought that had ended."
Looking down, she gripped the glass in her hand and furrowed her eyebrows "About a month or two ago I was working on a project in the science lab and I accidentally cut myself on some broken glass. I guess that when I started to bleed, another portal opened. I thought I had cleaned up all the blood after fixing my arm...but I guess there was some left...otherwise...how would you have gotten here?"

Rain shrugged off their comforting words. In truth it had been so long since she'd first woken up in the hospital an amnesiac, nearly six months now, that she rarely thought about it anymore. The Bronze was begining to get rowdy so she gave Kage a polite smile and Dawn a warning look and went back to work. A big man surrounded by many scantily clad women and other, less-large men was shouting from the other end of the bar for drinks. Quickly she served the mixed drinks, flipping the drink shakers and bottles in the air, giving her audience a little show.
She tried to keep an eye on Dawn and Kage but it was hard. Soon Rain was swamped by flood of thirsty customers and she lost sight of her young friends. Rain growled. Where was Nick? He was supposed to be tending the bar with her!

He smiles at Dawn then shakes his head some. “With the power you hold Dawn, your sister is wise to tell you to stay away from certain things.”
He looks up at Rain and smiles when he gets a refill. “Thanks, and I assure you will eventually get what was forgotten back one day.” He watches Rain some as she works as if studying what she is doing and listening to the types of orders going on here.
Then when Dawn asked, ‘how he would of gotten here if it wasn’t for her blood.’ His icy blue gaze looks back at her. “Oh youngling, there are other ways for those to get here, and it doesn’t involve a chaos god’s blood to open a door like that.” He downs his glass of wine in one gulp. “A witch could have opened my doorway with a ritual of a short, another demon could have opened it to. Heck, I could have opened it if I wanted to. But, yes this time it was your blood’s power, and you need more protection than just that of a Slayer.”
Dawn never mentioned anything of a Slayer to him, and the way he said it, his hint was toward her family when he spoke the word slayer. If she was about to say anything else to him, she missed that chance when he leap over the bar and started to help Rain out seeing that she was stressing out with the sudden large group of people that came in. His skills doesn’t match hers, but he was able to get things done quickly with Rain to help lesion the stress on her.

Blinking and watching Rain, Dawn grinned a little, watching her work then looked back at Kage as he spoke of how he got here. Then he said that she would need more protection than just that of a Slayer. Looking at him sharply, she furrowed her eyebrows wondering how he knew that she was being protected by Buffy. Did he know that she was Buffy's little sister?
Biting her lip and watching them work, Dawn sighed as she remained seated where she was, thinking to pull Rain to the side and tell her what Kage said before feeling the stool she was sitting on being turned sharply. Coming face to face with a young college kid who grinned lewdly down at her, Dawn narrowed her eyes "You have one chance to back up now..."
Seeing him tilt his head, she heard him say "Now why would I leave a young, lovely thing like you all alone? This is a dangerous place after all..." Saying that, he reached out and touched her thigh and smiled as he flashed what looked like fangs from his lips.
Widening her eyes and looking quickly at Kage and seeing them busy, Dawn remembered how Kage said that she would need more protection than a slayer. Huh...she would show him. Playing coy, she smiled at the vampire and tilted her head "Really? Well, maybe you could accompany me outside?"
Smiling and running her hand over his chest, she led him toward the door near the bar leading out into the alleyway. Continuing to play coy, she smiled as she let him get near enough to smile and lean down into her neck then growled out pulling out a stake from her jacket pocket and kicked him in the stomach with her booted heel. "Freakin' stinkin' vamp! Who do you think I am? Some easy lay? Yeah right..."
Remembering some of the moves Buffy did, Dawn quickly copied them, dodging under his grip then turned, her hair swinging around her shoulders and drove the stake through his chest, not knowing that the commotion they were making could be heard from the bar. Coughing as the dust settled around her, Dawn sighed and tried to get most of the dust out of her hair "Ah man...and I just shampooed..."

While Dawn is outside to dust the teen vampire, that was trying to play games with her, and such. After she had dusted him, she suddenly hears cries from the rooftop just before two bodies fall from there, only a few feet from her before they suddenly explode into dust at her feet. Then moments later three vampires and two demons come leaping from the roof, high tailing it as quickly as they could from something else that is on the roof. A roar comes from the roof, then a few moments after they had past Dawn. A larger pale blur and an icy chill in the air speeds by, then matter of seconds that it had pass, and then there were multiple screams of pain, clash of steal, then a very sudden and eerie silence filled the air.
If it didn’t seem to get any eerier from the silence, there where now the sound of something being put away, it sounded like a sword was being replaced in it sheath. Then the soft click from combat boots walking back down the alley where Dawn is or was when this all happened. A tall, six and half foot dark shadowy figure rounds the corner again slowly walking back the way it had leap from.

Blinking and making sure the dust was out of her hair, Dawn glanced around as she herd cries from the rooftop and saw two bodies fall to the ground a few feet from her before they exploded into dust at her feet. Seeing three vampires and two demons come leaping from the roof, Dawn widened her eyes as she heard a roars coming from it. Watching them run past her, she furrowed her eyebrows and cried out as a larger pale blur and icy chill speeded by her. Furrowing her eyes, she heard screams of pain, clash of steel then nothing but silence.
Blinking and waiting for a second, she heard what sounded like a sword being slid back into a sheath then the soft click of combat books walking back down the alley where Dawn was. Seeing a tall, six and a half foot dark shadowy figure rounding the corner, she furrowed her eyebrows and stepped out of where she was standing "Okay...question time, big, tall, and shadowy...who are you?"

When he looked at done, she would see he had two different color eyes, or one seemed to have an eye patch on it when it doesn’t. Since left eye looked like it was swallowed up in blackness because of it being a deep purple color, while his right eye seemed to glow an eerie green color. He looks at her for a fleeting moment. “Get back inside right now youngling!” He growled his demand at her in his heavily Scottish accented voice.
Without giving her a chance to disobey him, he quickly rushes to her and pushes her to the door way and leaps on something large within a blink of an eye. The thing he had leapt on tugged lightly at her long hair, but luckily the didn’t have a tight grip on her hair. Therefore, she wasn’t pulled down into the pile up when he attacked the black demon. The demon he tackled ripped off the hat he was wear to conceal his platinum hair that now shimmers brightly in the moonlight night. Then there was the quick flash of his duel blades and slash as the demon’s head rolls away from its body.
Once this demon was dead he stood up and backed away from the body a few steps as it suddenly erupted in flames, and since this human female was to stubborn for her own good. Is most likely still outside after his demand of her to return inside the club where she came from. She could now see him a little more clearly. He had long shoulder length platinum hair; his green eye still seems to glow, while his purple only sparkles a little as the flames take over the dead demon. She could also see that he was very pale in skin color that would be screaming vampire to her. Even if she hadn’t notice, his strength maybe is more than theirs. He sheath his katana’s again and then crosses his arms over his chest as she looks to the doorway he tried to shove her back into.

Blinking and seeing him looking at him, Dawn furrowed her eyebrows as she took in his countenance. Then everything happened so suddenly. Hearing his accented voice, she cried out as she was pushed agaisnt the door. She felt a few hair rip from her skull as the demon had grabbed a few hairs before Corlafka attacked it.
Seeing the demon's head roll away from its body, Dawn widened her eyes and looked back up at Corlafka and saw his skin...it was pale...much like a vampire's. Seeing how easily he took the demon down, Dawn quickly turned toward the door to go inside but swallowed and gathered her bravery together.
Turning and tossing her hair back over her shoulder in a defiant nature, she glared at Corlafka "Who are you?!"

He leans over Dawn with his hands on the doorframe that is about a foot length before reaching the actual doorway entry to the bronze from the alleyway. “For whom I am, is none of your concern youngling, and for your own protection, I would highly suggest you get back inside.” He was being friendly this time and not so demanding, even though it was somewhat hard to sound that way, since he use to be the head of an army long ago. “Oh and tell that Japanese fellow an old friend says hi.” He smiles softly this time and before Dawn can ask anything more, he disappeared onto the rooftop again, with a quick leap on the dumpster first, and then gone.

Blinking and looking up at Corlafka almost in defiance, Dawn listened to him and shook her head "I can take care of myself...I am the slay..." Cutting off there, she couldn't believe she almost gave out who her sister was...letting alone that she was about to tell him that she was her little sister.
Hearing him tell her to tell Kage hi, Dawn furrowed her eyebrows and watched him disappear again. Shaking her head, she ran a hand through her hair and frowned before going back inside. Approaching the bar, she sighed as she saw business had slowed down and looked at Rain and Kage "Sorry...I had to get some air...and Kage...someone said hi...I'm not too sure who he was though...kinda tall, dark, shadowy...had a pair of swords...and took out a couple vampires a few minutes ago..."

Since the place had settled back down to the crawl that it had started with when he first arrived in there. He is sitting at the bar again sipping his third glass of wine. He looks up at Dawn when she had returned to the bar. “Hmmm… was he also very pale looking, with platinum hair, and two different colored eyes?” He asked as he cocked his head to the side in his questioning manner while he smiles at her softly.

Blinking, Dawn furrowed her eyebrows and looked over at Rain knowing that she was probably going to get into trouble for leaving the Bronze by herself like she did. She normally did. Looking back at Kage and hearing him, Dawn looked around herself then sighed "I went outside for some air...saw a vampire attacking someone...and I sort of...slayed it...that was when your friend showed up...and yes he was pale with platinum hair and two different colored eyes..."
Looking back at Kage, she furrowed her eyebrows "Okay, answer time...who is he and what is he doing here? And how do you know each other?"
