Welcome all to Buffy The Vampire Slayer roleplaying! Please read these as they do help understand this site better and to enjoy it:
* First up, respect your fellow members and admins. We've worked hard to make this a fun place to roleplay and have mainly have fun. We don't need someone upsetting or pissing people off on purpose. You will be banned if you do this. So just don't.
* Second most important rule, NO god-modding. This means you cannot say what another character other than yours thinks, does or acts.
* You are allowed a maximum of five characters and you can now apply for your second, third etc anytime... no certain amount of posts are required!
*Staff has the right to modify, delete or move any post if we feel the need to.
* Swearing and romantic scenes are allowed, however we must ask that you keep it to a minimum. Do not make your character swear if they don't in the show, it's unnecessary. Also romantic scenes must be kept to a PG-13 rating, this is not a porn site.
* No spamming!
* English must be spoken here, no other languages please. However, if English is not your native language but you do speak it, we'd be happy to have you and help you when needed.
* Read all updates and announcements! We can't stress that enough.
* If you have a problem with a certain member or a plot, please do not talk about it in the c-box or anywhere else. PM an admin and we'll do out best to sort it out.
* Please NO advertising your own site in the c-box, that's what the Affiliates and Advertising board is for.
* Only one signature and avatar is allowed per character.
* There is a 3 sentence minimum when posting.
* There will be Activity Checks every few months. These will be posted in the BTVS Officials, where all announcements will go.
* If you are going on vacation or are busy, please PM an admin so you can keep your character.
* You cannot post as your character until your application has been accepted. This also means you cannot put up an avatar or signature until you've been approved.
* In your character application, we must ask you not to use abbreviations (e.g u, ur, lol)
* The password may be vampdust
* Once your application's been accepted, one of the admins will change your name for you. Do not change it yourself.
* You must stay within a character's limitations. For example, Oz is a werewolf--Cordelia is not. Therefore, you cannot make Cordelia a werewolf because that never happened in the series.
* When roleplaying, your character only knows what it does in the series. If you want to make a more modern pop-culture reference, that's okay. But that's the extent of it. For example, Wesley does not know what it was like in eighteenth century Ireland from personal experience. Angel(us) does. Therefore, Wesley cannot speak as though he remembers what it was like then.
* You cannot kill other characters!
* Always title your threads accordingly. If you want to roleplay with specific characters, you must put their names in brackets after the title. For example, if you want a roleplay to have Buffy, Spike, and Angel, your title will be: "(Buffy/Angel/Spike)."
* If you want a roleplay in which everyone and anyone can be included, put "(Open)" after the thread's title.
* If a character application is denied staff will reply with a reason for it's denial. The post will remain in the registration board for one week. If the application is not fixed it will be permanently denied and moved to the graveyard for dead posts. That character will then be available for someone else to apply for. You can always request your character again.
* OC Characters are now being accepted, so feel free to make one. Please try to not make your character too powerful or unrealistic. If you do so, your application will be denied.
* Check the c-box! Other members or admin may be trying to talk to you.
* Also check your PM's regularly for the same reason as above.
* By getting this far it means you've read the rules and you'll now know that the real password is souless.
